I feel like ultra Broly’s gauge should’ve been a mix between ssbk’s and LL Perfect Cell’s. His ki is always rising. His damage should be improving as time goes on. I really hope we get a broly like that sometime soon.

my favorite Ultra unit Despite not being spicy like ULTRA SSB Vegito or any ULTRA released after him, he still has a spot in my heart for being one of the best Broly units

Broly was never meant to just tank or do damage in my eyes, I felt like the best way to utilize him was through his very specific tech. Basically fill the gauge until one more hit is needed to proc it, then switch out. Save him a green card and then when you get combo'd, utilize his omni-cover change and chain the green card (he can chain it on cover). What happens in this scenario is: Opponent is locked in, they have no cards, no ki and has no rush. In this way, Broly can just safely strike card and initiate, since he has null cover from the gauge being filled. That was the best way to use Broly, but the problem was everyone kept getting null cover consistently and we soon realized that tanking units need more than just defenses, and the problem was his disruption was tied to his gauge and was never meant to be a defensive tool, but used offensively which further contributed to his confused kit.

I agree to an extent, part of the issue is Broly needs to take hits to get to that point. We can’t just count on Broly’s one-time 50% gauge to be the crutch for the entire unit, would make him a one trick phoney. It’s why I said his biggest issue is he’s designed to tank but unfortunately can’t, I wish this equip bolstered his defences a lot more. On the offensive side he does pack more punch now but he needs some tanking.

@@Raiyuden Exactly my thoughts, I just didn't wanna make the comment too long lol. I feel like if they made his gauge proc in like three hits, he would have felt much better. Moreover you never even get to use Broly's gauge more than twice in a match, which the reduced amount of hits could help with. Another good bonus would also be a guaranteed green card on the first time he cover changes. I just hope they give us a support unit that helps fix Broly's flaws in the future, he's still pretty cool and fun to use on fringe play.

Another problem is that (just like kaioken ssjb goku) broly, despite being a melee type unit, was given double defense z ability which heavily limited his damage.

dude, real talk... as someone new to the game (son got me into it just after I guess I missed some anniversary thing? looking forward to first legends fest), I'd LOVE a video talking about all the shit you guys take for granted at this point. Dropping combos, when RR fails when it seems like it was gonna land, "listening for sidesteps (?!)", I hear a bunch of jargon, and am doing my best to learn, but a "hey, so you just joined us, here's the ropes" series would be huge. Love the videos, keep it up brother.

Ultra Broly is still a character I want for my movies he's my favorite character and I'm glad to see his damage hold up but with the meta being do stupid amounts of damage with little defense jus sucks for his kit

You can build this guy to be very tanky and constantly heal from his unique gauge. And taking away vanish is great along with the universal cover change. He’s still fairly usable. I still can’t pull him after 24K cc so I’ll never know his true value till I can use him myself.

imo they need to make more equips like this for characters. I always wished the unique equips were usable on ANY char that shared the same name I.E. LF cells plat usable on every cell. This equip is basically a prototype to what I wanted to see, theyre usable on all broly and thats it, and I think more should be made for other very specific chars.

@@reign1594 exactly, thats why i wished the LF plats were character name plats instead, but this broly one is a good attempt at what i wanna see. We got lf plats, zenkai plats, and saga based plats all thats left is ultra plats and Character Name plats. Yellow cell and red zenkai cell would had went crazy with lf cells

Sometime in the future I want a broly that has the blue ssj hair he had in the first movie.

The developers can’t even get the labeling correct. He’s literally just a defensive unit with a defensive unit gauge. The only gimmick they throw with defence units is endurance.

I was running prolly in a 4x zenkai buffed mono purple team with this specific plat equip at Z, not sure why its not Z+ when i have 2 whole red slots but okay legends The damage is just so satisfying especially knowing that its coming from ULTRA BROLY Tanking wise he really cant do that great, he can tank against certain teams but if hes fighting a high star yellow or any other high star unit like, SOH trunks, Gofrieza, Nameku He seriously cant do much except hope his gauge procs. Still i love you ultra broly ❤

I hope the new LL is Z Broly. This Broly's guage just isn't oppressive enough. I said the same with Orange Piccolo. It just doesn't do enough to stop the opponent. And just like most matches, giving up Broly is the right answer.

orange has it even worse because he gets his gauge late game when all the big hits are being thrown but he cant even survive a combo let alone an ultimate

@@thebest_aza he's also just lame. This is why I didn't want him to be an LF. He's just got a basic ultimate animation that you'd see from a 1% but it's got Legendary Finish thrown on top of it. Like, it's literally Power Awakened Piccolo's ultimate but with a different beginning combo. And what makes it worse is his incredibly poor utility besides revive. The guy's just a loser.

UL Broly suffered the fate of basically all villain characters, they always become the 2nd best unit behind the main units, then just disappear cause they don't have good teams, and the teams they are good in have better options anyway.
