I got to play catch up with a lot of these videos as I moved. Love this channel; as it’s relaxing for me to watch. Wether it’s drive and ramble, cat vid, camper van video, rain and thunder vid, cooking, there all good.

Just returned from a trip that had us camping in the UP going east and west, in National Forest and State Forest Campgrounds. We discovered some new beautiful places, and I thank you for showing us more to check out next time!

Sounds really good. I can barely tell you're driving. Camp 7 is nice. Widely dispersed sites and some nice shade. Corner Lake is like the forest primeval and pretty, but no water could be an issue. You didn't mention about power being available at Wide Waters. I can go a few days on batteries, but I don't know if there's enough sun at a place like that to get solar recharge to work. I could run the generator to recharge the batteries, but I don't like doing that at a small campground like that. I'm sure people go there just so they don't have listen to generators like they would at a a larger campground, so I hate to ruin it for them.

I think it is working pretty well - I have tons of video left to edit and hopefully it stays good for those. :-) I agree with your assessments.

@@WanderDano @Wander Dano It seems like the sound issues are solved. The GoPro Hero 7 Black has a very nice video presentation as well as a natural sounding voice. A lot of the cheaper ones make it sound like you're recording from the bottom of a trash bin, so the money was worth it for this one. I was watching a presentation about a 2000 watt solar generator. It pretty much takes the place of a battery bank since it's powered by lithium batteries, and the batteries recharge from a solar input, 110 volts, or 12 volts. The recharge time is still too long, at about 12 hours from a typical solar set up, to about five hours for 110 volts. As long as it's summer, you're at a site with few trees, and your panels will do sun following, it would take the place of both a battery bank and the typical gas generator. It's not too large, but it weighs 70 pounds, and costs about $3,000! The nice thing is you can run it all night and the sound is about the same as a large computer fan. They will have these perfected in maybe five years, and they'll bring down the cost to near a battery bank/generator combo. Boondocking will get a lot easier and more comfortable once that happens.

Lapel mic is awesome! much less road and wind noise in this video. Love the UP stuff you do. My wife and I are trying to get there this summer for car camping but everything seems to be booked up.

How much?, do you have to pay by cash before closing? Are there some free places to park a van for overnight? I do not mind paying if there is a decent bathroom or something worth seeing there.

All the Michigan rustic campgrounds are $20 a night. They have water pumps and pit toilets and every one I have been to has something worth seeing. :-) There isn't any free overnight parking at campgrounds. State camping with power vary by location in Michigan and all have shower facilities.
