Thank you for playing my game Reto! It was fun seeing your reactions to the food puns and making interesting choices throughout the run. As you and many others have pointed out, the food effectiveness doesn't seem to influence build decisions as much as I thought. I'm excited to keep working on this and improve systems like that and many others for this Early Access title 👍

I think in the culinary world the "assistants" in the game would technically be called sous chefs. I think that would be a cool minor detail that would be appreciated.

I'd be cool with this game getting a mini series.

Dev's an absolutely awesome guy

This is amazing! The UX is exquisite. Every time Reto went looking for something, he found it. Stats everywhere, fun flavor text, lots of juice and pop. Even though he seemed to miss the lock buttons. 😉 This is an extremely polished game. Other than perhaps some balance, it looks like it's ready for sale!

I would watch more of a mini series on this game. This game looks very good so far.

Missed out on the opportunity to spell "Grate" in the title

I wont lie, all I heard when pj sandwich first came up, was beep beep I'm a sheep.

The dodge mechanic might actually make me more interested in this as an auto bullet hell. I've tried Vampire Survivor and it just didn't click because i felt like i wasn't 'doing anything' But the dodge is a cool simple way for the player to be more active.

Pretty sure the rolling pins are boomerang type weapons and thus have infinite pierce.

The vibes in this game are so good.

very cool game, would absolutely like to see more! I really am not a fan of this genre so much anymore, I feel like it became so stale so fast, but I like the systems here, and I really really love the enemy design. Genuinely "grate" stuff!

tried to play the demo but i was unusable as well as outlandishly loud, the mouse kept swaping between a normal looking cursor (notably not my desktop one) and locking to a menu option no matter how much i moved the mouse or what i tried

(Also one of the devs) Sorry to hear that , this is probably due to the fact that you can switch between inputs whenever you want controller or mouse. Though we have also been having a problem with Xbox controllers as well for some reason. Would love to get that fixed so you can Cook!

In the garden, yes. In the kitchen, tomatoes are classified as vegetables. There's a ridiculous historical reason for it that I recommend reading about.

@@reverse_engineered My memory concocted that it was some prez like Taft wanting to make it easier for American schools to meet veggie requirements for lunches. I thought it was just a legal and cultural distinction, didn't know kitchens actual classify them as vegetables.

If that's true, that further explains why I'm against it, American lunches are unhealthy to begin with, and that was a work around to allow them to be cheaper and less healthy. Tomatoes are not a particularly healthy "vegetable". People literally eat pizza and think they're eating vegetables.
