Great Backstop with 8 Layers by HobbyImGarten, Germany

Wow, what a nice backstop. Looks great, is heavy and stops almost everything. Different versions are already available here:

Merry thanks for this great review. Armin...seeing the bodkins i went crazy. The idea was most flexible and safe Targettraining….sick searching arrows. Even pulling arrows out of hard Backstopps is boring. Also important; the arrows bumb up, no Risk to crash with another arrow. We use light wooden Frames to mount it. It takes seconds to move the target to another place for another Shooting experience. By the way ist absolutly weatherproof….Keep on throwing arrows an many thanks to Armin again.

Interesting, ive seen free hanging blankets being used as arrow catchers/absorbers. But I wonder what kind of fabrics one should look for if you are looking for a DIY improvised arrow stopper blankets.

I wish I had run across this sooner. I put up a doubled over ripstop tarp as a backstop and on my first arrow with the split finger thumb release shot a wide right straight through the tarp. Fortunately I’m getting better at that release

Camouflage with fabric dyes may be better than spray paint. I really like the light weight of the material & the portability for an at home target range. Presently I hang a 45kg horse stall pad as a backstop. This fabric backstop can be brought along a hunting trip for practice shots too.

I just use ballistic kevlar 29 . It's super expensive but I had a 500 foot roll laying around so I put some of it to use, that is until I layer it up with epoxy resin and make one inch thick hard plates or half inch plates to back up level lll ar steel rifle plate

@@ArminHirmer Thank you Master Armin Hirmer. In the past, Hunters and Warriors could use the Bow without teachers and textbooks even in environments where facilities are not in place now. What I need to enjoy the Bow is effort and trial and error. Because I am not a Hunter or a Warrior. The Bow is not means Live or Survival to me. I value the enjoyment and safety for my Bow life.

It reminds me the Samurai horse riders, wearing a sort of “parachute looks like” piece of fabric, could be silk, that way they avoid to be hitted by arrows in the back while riding. Maybe if you anchored the fabric to the ground and behind it you set up a vacuum, in blowing mood, you will create a parachute form and the arrows will fall down without penetrating it. The fabric has to be in motion, just like a flag in the wind.
