It never did any harm to my hair back in the day, I really regret jumping on the bandwagon with all these "don't use grease" and buying expensive products. Hello, The light switch went on! I thought it was just me. Liquid oils annoy me. I have thin, short hair. I don't care about hair to my butte, just healthy hair. Mixing all concoctions gets on my nerves. I oil my hair, next day its dry, repeat the next day, next day, next day, same results. Dry unmoisturized hair. Too many products. Even got the book."The Science of Hair". I'm going back to the basics, aphogee, creme of nature and blue magic grease. I'm very excited because there are more than one variety of blue magic hair grease. Can't wait to give it a second try. No offense to the natural community . The strands of my hair need something stronger.

    Beautiful. I never used blue magic back in the day but my mom did use grease. Thanks to you i decided that im going to try some even though im relaxed. Its good to use right before a relaxer as a extra base and on other days when I want to moisturize my hair. Also did you blow dry your hair before this or just braid it up?

  • @NeziNappsakaNezi

    @NeziNappsakaNezi

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yes, I blow dried it, but, it was around 2 weeks, ago. So, it's not a fresh blow dry. Your right about the hair grease, being, a base for the relaxer. You'll see length retention, if you use it, regularly. Only thing is, it'll weigh down your hair, but, I wouldn't worry about that. I would wear my relaxed hair in protective styles, using hair grease and on special occasions, wear my relaxed hair down and flowy.

    I dunnoo... I grease my scalp as needed. If it's itchy, dull or dry, I'll grease it. I use my hands and eyes to determin if it's needed. I'll give you a little secret, though, when it comes to box braids. If you want a really, deep, moisturized look to your box braids and relieve your scalp from itchiness, try using a jherri curl moisturizer. Let me tell you! That juice used to save my life! I used to used, Care Free Curl Moisturizerwww.walmart.com/ip/SoftSheen-Carson-Care-Free-Curl-Instant-Moisturizer-8-oz/752057635?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1150&adid=22222222227078888480&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=192001038891&wl4=pla-301934254923&wl5=9022891&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112549851&wl11=online&wl12=752057635&wl13=&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAjw5pPnBRBJEiwAULZKvjmV1nvTUU9AiQ2WPB_cpx4WQYA2BOlp2i_55Y7D3VDYqTVdU4WIGRoCHmMQAvD_BwE and it worked better than grease or braid spray. There are 2 cons to this product. It may moisturize your pillows and weigh down your braids. That didn't bother, me, though. I loved the way my braids hung; they weren't stiff looking and I just washed my pillow cases and wore a hair bonnet to bed. Hope this was helpful.

    Develop a hair care regimen with your favorite hair care products, with, no heat and protective styling. Protective styling means, no heat, no tension and not letting your hair hang down or out. If you do any of these things, you will have to constantly cut or trim your hair, which prevents length retention. Get your hair, healthy and keep the length.

    Shampoo, conditione, moisturize your hair strands with a moisturizer and apply oil on top, to seal in moisture. Braid it or twist it up and tucked your ends away, if your hair hangs to your collar or longer, use little to no heat, sleep with a satin cap on your head or use a satin pillow case and keep other people out your head. That's the basics.

    Yes, you can apply water and grease, only, on your ends. No, you do not have to apply grease on your scalp for it to be effective. Also, one more question but I saw a video saying you can apply grease before blow drying, won’t it weigh your hair down when you blow dry after applying it? Or will it be fine to apply to the scalp all the same? My hair is currently transitioning so I’m just trying to find the right method(:

  • @NeziNappsakaNezi

    @NeziNappsakaNezi

    2 жыл бұрын

    You're so welcome! No, I wouldn't apply grease on my hair before blow drying. It will weigh down the hair and make it harder for the comb attachment to comb through. It wouldn't have body, bounce nor flow to it, either. I would apply it, 2 to 3 days later if my scalp looks dry or if it, itches. I use a non alcohol oil glosser for my hair, when I wanted oil in my hair. It's light weight and adds shine, without making it greasy. My 2 oil glossers are Luster Pink Oil Glosser and Miss Jessies Gloss So Good. Also, here's a flat iron video of when I used one of my glossers. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lIWTpaaPdKW8qKQ.html

    @@phumiegee5166 My favorite daily moisturizer is by Motions. It's called Motions Daily Weightless Moisturizer. It smells sweet, light weight and pink. It cost about $7 or $8. My other moisturizer are new and expensive and I haven't used them alot, yet; they are by Miss Jessies. You don't have to spend alot of money on moisturizers.

    When I read your comment, yesterday, I said, uh oh! Somebody, left a rude comment. Welp, I saw the comment you were referring to and I replied, to her. Let's just say, she deleted her comment and my reply, in the end, because, I told her in a nice way, bye! lol Thanks for the heads up and I'll give Shay Shay, your hi:)

    Thanks for the quick reply on both comments and whatever u said I probably would agree with u. U made the comment about working with people here's another idea u can start a business on the side of your full-time job until u build up enough clientele and then go for it. Just keep in mind whenever u start a business it normally takes 1yr or 2 before you even break even

    What's up Nezzi...How you doin'? What up Shay~Shay? She's so cute! Dag! Now I have to try this grease! What am I going to do Nezzi with all this grease, lol! My Indian Hemp has kind of a sweet smell, which is alright...Have you tried the Indian Hemp by Kuza? I think my mom use to get this back in the day...There's another one I have by Carol's Daughter, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I'd like to try the grease called Mimosa Hair Honey. Have you tried it? Okay, I slept in this morning, 11am..I'm going to relax today. It's my day off and tomorrow too! Great day to you Nezzi!

    I'm fine, today and I hope you are fine, as well. No, I never tried the Kuza nor the Mimosa Hair Honey. I normally stick to Blue Magic for some odd reason. Maybe, because, I've been using it since I was a little greasy baby. You sleepin in late, today, sounds lovely. I don't know where you live, but, it's super cold, here, in St.Louis and it would have been, wonderful, to stay at home. I was sleepy as heezy! Plus, you're off work, tomorrow, too? Girl, enjoy your days, off. Great day 2u2:)
