GRAY ZONE WARFARE LOOT VACUUM CHEATER

First off, my experience with GZW has been amazing, so far. I've watched probably more streamed hours than I have played the game, and I've already logged over 34 hours. This was the first cheater I've encountered, or have seen encountered in the streams I've watched.
I was victim by proxy to a cheater in GZW. Not really experienced with this sort of game style or this sort of cheater, so it was a totally new experience to me and I didn't know how to handle it. I feel like I did decent trying to come up with various methods to prove that the people around me weren't the cheater.
The first guy in the video claimed he was going to do a wipe and change factions, so he was going to drop his cash and his gun. Then he dropped cash and the guy that's dead in front of him died immediately after picking up the cash (before video). Then the cheater steals all of that guy's loot, I start recording (0:00), then the cheater appears to quit to lobby (beginning of video). As I'm trying to process all of it, I make the mistake of checking the loot as well (0:09). The interesting pert is that you hear my dead body get double tapped, but no bullet noise or anything normal from dying. The rest is before your eyes.
At (0:35) when I'm looting my body, (first notice all of my stuff is gone an no one else has touched my body) you can see the stuff disappear from my pockets without me touching it. The other guy is approaching still, which means he cannot be looting it. You can't loot and move.
(2:40) mortars start going off - which I have never heard any other time.
The rest is just me test firing different people to confirm they're faction members, and assessing the situation at hand.
Sorry for the cursing but I was a little annoyed by the scum activities before my eyes.
This is primarily for the devs. I have confidence they can find a solution before it becomes a bigger problem.

There's a section on the Gray Zone website that will allow you to report cheaters and provide evidence. Hopefully this pathetic player gets banned.

I absolutely reported this and have communicated with devs. They're doing their best. I fully agree.
So his buddy was on a different faction and shooting u from the hill so he could loot you?

No, he dropped an item that was bugged and could tk inside the base. I didn't catch the first part of it. He dropped the bugged item and the guy I tried to loot took the bugged item and immediately died. The cheater then looted that guy that died, and stood to confirm the cheat was functioning. Then when I looted that guy, his stuff was all gone, and the bug transferred to me. The way the bug works is it loots all of the "contaminated" player, then anyone who interacts is "infected". Then it cycles through all interacting players and progressively kills them as their inventories are depleted. You cannot kill enemies in their own base, you have to lure them out. You should be invincible on the chopper and in your home base.

@@yoitztrusty you can kill enemies in the home base if you are on an outside hill in the PvP gamemode. Only in joint operations can you not kill other players.

I was glad to see them devs being on the forefront of anti cheat combining classic methods with the modern stuff... Seeing this now just makes me sad, GZW is my new favorite game by far and seeing it took cheaters / cheat devs maybe a week to start sucking the life out it is just shattering. Cool to know devs are aware, hope they can do something about it soon.

I think they will find a solution. If it's any consolation, in my almost 40hrs of gameplay, that was the only cheater encounter I've had. All other deaths seemed legitimate, even though I don't particularly agree with the LZ camping. Which, they have taken some action against by allowing shots from the chopper and a short window of invulnerability.
I’ve discovered this is a new strat… two friends will join separate factions. One will sit outside the base and kill players and AI while the one inside the base collects the loot and brings it out to the other player.

I thought you were invulnerable in your own base. I will happily do a stream this weekend to prove or disprove that as a possible strat.

@@sotterson8544 I've since discovered that you can be killed. In this particular case, though, there were not enemy players. I also searched for that account and it was either banned or deleted very shortly after I made this video. Also, you can't get up on the hill that I was looking at. I tried for like 30 minutes or more. There's an invisible barrier.

@@sotterson8544 there is a small spot next to the north wall that you can be TKed at, as well.
Use the report system dude, dont let this turn into tarkov.

I absolutely reported this and have communicated with devs. They are doing what they can. Because the guy used a proxy to make a bot that killed me, it makes tracing the user a bit more difficult. I actually couldn't see the guys name in game.
I swear that guys name is this guy i saw in my game who was like speedhacking across the map

It's possible. They're going to have a hard time keeping up with the cheaters, but I'm sure they'll try their best. It was the only one I've encountered so far, and I have over 36hrs in.
The enemy players are able to travel around the friendly base kinda dumb hope they fix it but just gotta deal with it

It was not an enemy player. It was a bug using an enemy player name as a proxy. It was a cheat/hack. You shouldn't be able to die to anything aside from fall damage or chopper in your base.

why fix? raiding other bases is part of the game, ppl have to fight through your bases AI too and they have scuffed ammo+armor

@@gmanoffury this isn't a legitimate raid, it is a cheat. I didn't get shot. No one actually got shot out of all of the bodies.

The guy looting the body at the beginning dropped a bugged item (cash). It immediately killed the guy that picked it up, then the loot vacuum began. The guy got all the loot from that body, and when I searched it, I seemed to immediately die. Then the vacuum began pulling my loot. As I was searching my body after coming back, you can see it being pulled from inventory. The other guy approaching thought I killed him, so he went to loot me, but he was still moving, so it couldn't have been him pulling from my inventory yet. Also, the guy didn't leave the server that disappeared at the beginning ( I wish I showed my map data, but I forgot). He was still in the roster. I looked around for AI to be agro, I also was confused by the mortar going off. The AI eventually pinged on something, but they never fired. I'm sure I'm missing details, but basically the guy had a loot vacuum and it spread like a virus within the server. I honestly don't understand the purpose of that within this sort of game with this loot table, but whatever. It seems to be a reality, and I seem to have fallen victim. I'm confident the devs will do something about it, because I've read other accounts of it on reddit.

The same thing can actually happen in PvE. Also I love the PvEvP mode.

I enjoy PVP, just because this game has a rough start doesn't mean it won't be viable later.
Not a cheater you can go to other bases that other timmy stole your gun lol

He was absolutely a cheater. There was no third party player. The person dropped a bugged item (cash), then it immediately killed the guy I inspected, then immediately killed me when I inspected that guy. Then, it continuously killed those who interacted with the bugged bodies as it cycled through the loot pool. You can even see the loot disappearing from my body without me taking it - and the other guy near me was in motion, which means he was unable to loot.
The other night a cheater said something like who said stfu over voip. Then suddenly the entire lobby died, over and over. While he laughed. So it’s a command cheat. Kill all players in vicinity. Then the other cheat, if you log in the have access to your equipment. It’s all on pvp servers, so pve servers are now crashing from the traffic.

My opinion is that cheaters should consider seeing a therapist.
