Gray Water Tank Installation - Ford Transit Camper Van Build

In this video we are installing a NW Conversions grey water tank to catch the water from our shower and kitchen sink in our 2023 Transit van conversion build. A lot of planning is needed when laying out your plumbing system. The tank had to be placed just right to allow the heater, plumbing and other accessories to fit in the limited space available under the Transit.

You will also need various other plumbing fittings, including 1 1/2" PVC pipe, a slip coupling and threaded 1 1/2" PVC threaded adapter. I purchased small stuff like this locally at a home supply store.

Jack of all, thanks once again for making the time to share your build experience. Looks like a solid grey water install. Thanks especially for the heater pad leads. All of this info will get added to my “book of notes” as I continue to dream of doing, someday, what you are doing now.

Very nice video, thank you. My only concern is just that last component you installed reduced your ground clearance significantly, it could get destroyed easily by a somewhat elevated road bump.

It's significantly higher still than the rear axle so if it gets destroyed I have way more problems.

thanks for all your videos i wanted to ask you did you install Sumo Springs on your transit and what kinds of shocks did you use also sumo springs did u use 2800 lbs ones thanks again

I did install Sumo springs. That is a video that will be out within the next few weeks. Installed the yellow ones. Also installed a set of Bilstein shocks too. Very solid rear end now 💪🏻
Awesome video, thanks for sharing! How far forward does the NW conversion grey tank run on the van? I'd love to copy your install, but I'm concerned it may interfere with the espar fuel pump I have mounted to the forward most bracket on my transit 25 gallon fuel tank (exact location shown in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mX9_rdJ-nJXcdcY.htmlsi=T5QbCpks_iM93zjI&t=820)

I watched your video and saw were you installed the pump. I can't guarantee anything but I think you would be okay because two things. It looks like you have your pump installed on the forward most cross brace so the tank may sit behind it and also there is space between the fuel tank and the water tank. So that area where you mounted the fuel pump is actually right between the fuel tank and the water tank.
