For those who may be curious, the knights the Seals approved here represent are, in order (and also what they tell you about the respective knight) : Sir Lancelot (Fun Fact! Fae are counted as Elementals in the Nasuverse. Then remember who raised Sir Lancelot. Seems he wished that he wouldn't have to choose between his friends/comrades and his family.) Sir Bedivere (Bedivere was, unlike the other knights, the sole normal human on the Round Table. long story short, he's the weakest, so it makes sense the seal would be that Rhongomyniad can't be used on those weaker than Artoria.) Sir Kay (The personality basis for Add... and Artoria's Foster Brother. The seal is rather self-explanatory in what it says about the knight. He didn't want his little sister to die.) Sir Gaheris (We don't know much about the 4th Orkney sibling oddly enough. So who knows?) And finally, Sir Agravian (I'll edit this once I finish Camelot because I'm still on America in F/GO so y'all will have to wait)

fun fact, this scene also shows how powerful Rhongonmyniad is to some extent. It has this much power with only 5 of the 13 seals lifted. That shows how scary this lance/spear/pillar actually is and why it should be sealed.

I read it on FGO wiki) What i mean is even though they both have a seals, Lancer Artoria can open it by herself without going through the chant of round table like Gray. It's similar to Artoria (saber) who doesn't need round table to open Excalibur's seals like Arthur

They can use a fraction of their true power themselves but the real destructive power comes from when the planet itself supplies mana for them one of the requirements for the seal full release is then the target is a threat to the planet

@@corona-chan7922 Artoria's Excalibur only has one seal, the one the Counterforce put on it that can only be unlocked when fighting against a threat to the planet and humanities very existence...like say a certain Beast VII that we will be facing in FGO(JP) sometime this year or the next. Hmm sounds like a good time for Nasu to reveal a certain franchise mascot as Grand Saber with a fully unlocked holy sword beat stick.

Reina Ueda didn't need to tear her vocal cords apart for this role, but she did anyway, and we all appreciate her commitment.

Since i don't use FGO JP, i should say this "A Faker is a pretender and a pretender is a faker"

Grey is so underrated. I really like her character.

Did he and gray ever run into one another? And if so how did they react?

We know from the sequel series, Adventures of El-Melloi, that Waver kept Gray a secret from Rin, so he probably kept her away from Shirou too.

@@KisiroKitsune Yeah, that checks out. I imagine it would have been quite a shock for Shirou if the two ever met. But, knowing him, I imagine that once said initial shock had passed, he'd actually be a pretty good friend to Gray.

This scene really mirrors the one of Fate/Zero, when Saber blasted Alexander's chariot with Excalibur's beam. It's never a good idea to ram you mount into the light beam capable of evaporating an entire mountain.

Seriously , like anybody would actually have a chance to survive against Rhongomyniad, basically a country destroyer attack (even though it wasn't its fullest, that still can destroy anything it touches).

A country destroying attack? Rhongomyniad is the conceptual tower at the edge of the world that is a god killing weapon. The whole reason it was made was to seal and reduce the amount of mystery in the world and as a result is the reason the Gods eventually Faded from the human world after their bodies were destroyed.

That’s what rules of engagement are like 😂

The holy spear that King Arthur used to fight his mortal enemy, Mordred." Like it more powerful with lion king (Goddess Rhongomyniad) not Lancer Artoria because she dont need round table to unsealed

@@Star_Golden I assume it likely has to do with the fact that Add can't channel the entirety of Rhongominiyad's power, this instance here damages Add for the rest of the series until Grand Roll. Though saying its second to Excalibur is surprisingly a deeper statement than one would think as Excalibur's power varies depending in its situation of use. Its true might is only shown when the planet itself is threatened as was the case with Sefar(who was stated to be able to withstand supernovas) where Excalibur was able to annihilate the white titan when the 12 olympians (combined in the Lostbelt) could at best stalemate it and at worst got savaged.

Its because Rhongomyniad is weaker than Excalibur. Both Rhongomyniad and Excalibur have 12 seals on them that limit their power. In this scene, the whole approved thing is the seals that are being released for Rhongomyniad. The Lion King is capable of using Rhongomyniad at full power without the seals, but normally it is weakened, just like excalibur. Thats why Rhongomyniad is only a A++ ranked noble phantasm when lancer Artoria uses it.

Because normally Rhongo's Rank goes from A++ to EX just like Excalibur. But when Gray uses it, Rhongo ranks down to A+ because she's not the "true" Artoria and therefore can't use its full power.

Gray comes from a village trying to revive Artoria. Gray was chosen to be her body by the village so when Saber was summoned in the 4th war her face changed to hers and her body stopped aging, when Saber was summoned in the 5th her body changed even more. Eventually the village wants to summon Saber in her body which is why Lord El Melloi II will never take her back there. As to why she has Rhongomyniad, before the fairy Morgan le fay returned to Avalon she gave the village the duty to protect it after adding a 14th seal to the usual 13.

Y'all are making jokes about having to unlock seals for this, but you have to remember that in modern day Fate, Rhongomyniad is basically a nuclear warhead of a weapon.

And that’s just 5 seals released. Imagine if all 13 seals were released, I bet it’d rival Gate of Babylon on a good day

Proto Arthur's profile in fgo states that his Excalibur can destroy the planet (presumably if the thirteen seals are removed) so maybe Rhongomyniad can too

@@user-zk2pl5xx2w what? No.... It’s one of the strongest but definitely not THE strongest even with 13 seals. Ea would still be stronger if both were to compete in a power competition. Besides it’s not the strongest destructive force in the whole nasuverse. Ars Almadel Salomonis is undoubtedly the strongest we’ve seen so far with EA and Mahāpralaya in competition. AAS is said to have a force of a million excaliburs and it’s heat is hotter than anything in the world possibly even hotter than Loptr. The NP can wipe out humanity throughout space time and nuke them in any point in the spectrum. It damn near borders if not reached the level of True Magic. Something that Rhongomyniad cannot compete with.

After seeing the fgo Camelot movie this rhongomyniad fells a little bit nerfed

To be fair, this Rhongomyniad is under Gray's possession rather than Artoria herself. Plus in the Camelot singularity, Artoria is being possessed by the divine power of the lance, and had become a divine spirit

Aside from the seals, it's also weaker from being exposed to the modern world and the loss of mystery. Add containing it is probably not 100% perfect preservation against time.

​​@@MoreEvilThanYahweh That is factually incorrect. This would apply to any other divine constructs but not Ryhongominiad as its the reason there is less mysery in the world. If Excalibur was made to protect the world Rhongomyniad was made to control mysteries and old mystics, at the physical tower at the ends of the world and not the lance which is a manifestation of it. When the Gods divine bodies were destroyed as a precaution Rhongomyniad was activated and it ended up causing the heavens and underworld to fade from the human world.

This is like when Arthur (proto) uses his Excalibur. It's the same dialogue except the voice is by Merlin(same ayako kawasumi) and the other round table knights. In Fate/Prototype, he does use his Excalibur without the approval of merlin and other knights of round. Edit: the engrish gave me cringe. Gosh, I guess I'm still not weeb enough for my ears to tank those hits.
