India is weak AF right now. United Nation recently reported on their extreme food shortage crisis and ranked them tied for 2nd last in the malnutrition and hunger category, they don't have electricity on top of that so they will freeze to death if haven't yet starved from mass famine. Wion reported on this - Gravitas: India ranked 101 on Global Hunger Index Indian government needs to help their people. They can't live much longer like this.

If wion didn't talk about this, nobody would have known

No trust me. WION it's good to listen to when you mix it with a whole bunch of stuff. But it is 100% in line with India's interests. I also catch them inserting Little things here and there to push their agenda. Such as in this episode they said China made the virus. This is far from objective, though possible. The lab Leak hypothesis, species transmission hypothesis, and intentional release hypothesis all lack sufficient evidence (because China refused to allow foreign investigation). But WION obviously wants to paint the worst one as China is currently India's biggest contesting Force. I'm honestly down to listen to anyone bashing China so long as I'm willing to take it with a grain of salt. But this changed with their coverage of the invasion of Ukraine. India has a vested interest in a friendship with Russia and so has been painting them with a positive light and trying to delegitimize Ukraine's position.

this is the first time ive heard of this.

China: gets invaded by aliens China to the world: "All is normal."

I haven't heard anything about this from the US media. How surprising.

I agree - but I haven't yet found a good source of unbiased journalism this side of 2000. There are some great independents on KZread, but many don't have the resources to research their own stories - they are just reading from other news feeds. The Damage Report actually gets boots on the ground for some domestic stories, but they are rather limited.

This is the first I'm hearing about this.

She beat the world record in repeating the word "blast" about 31x in 7 minutes.

@@djpickle68 I'd say it's still journalism because she's open about the speculation being speculation. She repeatedly points out that the only reason there's speculation is because of the FACT that China is silencing information about the bombs, coronavirus, etc. Editorials in US have taken to playing jump-to-conclusions and positing that their presumptions are true until somebody can prove it false. She provides several alternative theories, and repeatedly provides room that they are a coincidence.

India is weak AF right now. United Nation recently reported on their extreme food shortage crisis and ranked them tied for 2nd last in the malnutrition and hunger category, they don't have electricity on top of that so they will freeze to death if haven't yet starved from mass famine. Wion reported on this - Gravitas: India ranked 101 on Global Hunger Index Indian government needs to help their people. They can't live much longer like this

the "blasts" may have only killed small numbers, but the total number dead could be 20X higher... its a framing technique often used by PR firms to mitigate media exposure
