China always looks at such crisis as opportunities to convert their debt to equity and finally take over sovereign strategic infra assets that directly poses a threat to India. Sri Lanka has always played the game with India and China.. Asking China by threatening them about going to India if they don't help and vica versa.. THis attitude of Sri Lanka needs to be stopped. India is desperate at Indian Ocean. Thanks to QUAD and the deals in the west such as P8I.. We are still controlling. Wait for Transhippment port to get ready in Nicobar islands. The game will just get to the next level... Trincomolee port is always eyed by India to keep china's shipping base in Myanmar in Check..

Problem is the answer seems defensive while being in sharp contrast to the head of the country clearly showing difference of perception of issues at the highest level. Wondering if they can agree to a solution to come out of their economic & political woes. Further pointing at the differences between 2nd(India) & 3rd parties(China) doesn't automatically guarantee Chinese interest in resolving Sri Lankan economic woes..

Actually it’s not worth showing differences over negligible things like this. Hope you noted Palki referred various other things she collected from different places. He has all the reasons to be defensive. End of the day he has to deal with this recording if he make one mistake. And it’s more views for wion and reputation for Palki.

I just love her style of Journalism.

This is really good journalism. Instead of commenting based on what is posted by local newspapers and tweets, Palki has gone directly to Ground Zero to get news from the horse's mouth. One may disagree with her opinions, but you cannot discount her courage and her professionalism.

No one can come in with a clue of what to do given the situation they're in. Need to make quick decisive decisions and hope it works. You cannot prepare for the level of challenge he's facing. SL will improve and his legacy as a politician will remain intact if he can navigate them out of this, even a little bit. They'll have to take it one day at a time, and use all resources and diplomatic relations they have.

Looking to his current stand , it would be wise to wait for him to come and seek our advice. Arrogance never pays neither prejudice. I support sri lannkans but with a caution .

1. He is the Guardian Angel of the Rajapakshas & no one will arrest any Rajapakshas when he's in power. 2. There were other people who were up to take the Prime Minister post but they all wanted the President to Resign as a condition. Ranil is the Only one who didn't have that condition.

There are a lot of similarities that I see in this interview with the one Palki had with Oli Sharma of Nepal, a couple of years back. The same sense of entitlement, the same sense of oneupmanship over India and defending the friendship with China and I can go on. They look to India to bail them out without any conditions when they get into trouble with China. The references to Ladakh are purely disingenuous and may not help the island nation if it wants India to bail it out of its tight and nasty corner.

Indirectly he told i am gonna get benefits because of Himalayas situation...

She looks more relaxed and comfortable In Sri Lanka. Her tone is completely different.

PM Wickremesinghe comes across as very humble, pleasant, and trustworthy leader. This is definitely one of the best interaction that one can be involved in. Hope things work out for Sri Lanka soon, you have the right leader for this crucial juncture.

In this episode, Palki Sharma demonstrates the art of asking tough questions with a flair! And even sliding in a question she had no idea would materialize... want to tell me about Ladakh?

I loved the back and forth on China not helping. The PM was trying to give it back to her by bringing in Ladakh subject but Palki didn’t budge and gave it back to him with China being silent point. Amazing interview! Lots of learning for aspiring journalists, lawyers, salespersons and negotiators

Very bold and perfect interview, i think one of best news channel wion and also respect and responsibil.

India has provided about 3.5billion in past 6 months.... At this rate India has to keep supporting with 3 - 4 billion dollars every 6 months for bare minimum requirements. It is not possible for India to keep doing it.. Srilanka should expedite the talks with IMF. Indians are themselves going to get burdened due to inflation,, and will become very difficult to help going forward.

He was a PM two years ago , when famous church was bombed on Easter Sunday and over 200 people got killed and some got paralyzed that he didn’t know but some in the parliament knew about it. “What’s wrong with 73 “, can’t focus well and can’t remember how many times has been a leader too,he is too old now.
