Profits over safety. When they had that problem with a car that would have cost $11 to fix. Nobody would tell da boss. The payout for the car accidents were lower than the repair cost. I believe.

The 737 was developed in 1964. GREED has continued this 60 year process of taking a now very old basic airframe design and coming up with new derivatives of it. Why has every other airframe from this era been retired? Profits over passengers IS the bottom line. I've seen this at too many companies in my 43 years of working. The engineers are forced out and the bean counters take over. Safety and quality are compromised.

Even as a non-engineer, in all my years of working, I can definitively affirm that profits over (anything) is always the bottom line. Companies will force out....whomever, cut labor, even when they don't need to. Even when the top executives are pulling multi million $ salaries every year, they can't sacrifice some money for the workers who make them that rich, which doesn't make any sense. Employees will work much harder if they think they can actually live off of their wage--otherwise they're not going to care--and the company suffers, because the executives want to hollow it out to benefit themselves, which will screw over shareholders, and the workers, and the consumers who enjoy the company.

The fact that the owner of Boeing, Robert Bigelow, use to own Skinwalker Ranch, did extensive classified studies with the US gov for years on the ranch, now making classified defense systems for the gov... Tells me this whistleblower's claims had the potential to expose a lot of classified secrets on the public court record. In my opinion, it appears he best way to avoid an audit or exposure was to take him out. Clearly they felt, the public would've been made aware of certain aspects, technologies, practices... And that would've affected their end game goals. God be with this whistleblower. ❤ I truly hope Boeing doesn't pay off the coroner or the Charleston P.D.

For what purpose, though? We all know how much of a disaster fire it is to even fly on a Boeing jet, but I'm wondering if they have something to do with maybe money laundering, too. You know how sometimes the Pentagon doesn't know where X amount of dollars went? Boeing is one of their manufacturers, and the 787 Dreamliner was the Boeing equivalent of Microsoft's Windows Millennium Edition... We all know they cut costs and corners. They didn't have to kill someone over it....but they did. Now they're f***ed

I told my buddy who's a pilot for Norwegian since they're getting new Max 9/10 planes soon. Then I said, "Well, unfortunately, I'll have to stop being their customer. One lie always follows another lie." And how right I was. Fortunately, SAS in Norway has purchased Airbus's new A320neo, so for an extra 100 dollars, I'll start flying with them instead.@@briondalion3696

If it's boeing, I'm not going. A former Boeing employee who blew the whistle on alleged safety problems at the aircraft manufacturing giant has been found dead. John Barnett, 62, died on Saturday from an apparent “self-inflicted” wound, a coroner in South Carolina in the United States said on Monday
