I have watched the movie too. Really it makes us cry like a baby. What a story, every moment of the film makes us really sad. It is a great movie with a universal message. And that little girl "Setsuko" too cute and lovely finally leaves us crying and weeping. The elder brother Seito tries every possible way to keep his little sister happy during the time of trauma, but the end leaves you really blown with tears and sorrow. Such a powerful film.

I have seen this movie 6 years ago still I can feel the pain.... Fruitcandy scene is my favourite from movie

Grave of the fireflies is one of the emotional and great movies of all time. In this movies I can feel sadness and helpless about little setsuko at the last I cried for this family and obsessed with war which is only affects to innocent people. This movie opened my eyes and explained me to give respect and value your food, Be a helpful and good person, and never give up in any situation Thank you

Actually I have watched this movie by downloading it today before I watched this video, but really you are absolutely right about the movie, I too rate it 5 out of 5 stars. We can't really express our emotions after watching this movie. What a piece of story.

Just watched the masterpiece. From 1988 to till this date and in future too, the relevance of movie will never end. At this peak time of thinking with stagnated mind, I have just one thought to be happy and satisfy with little things like both of them.

Ya I can say I'm a stone hearted person. Like atleast never cried for a movie or any video but when I saw ' Grave of the fireflies' my eyes couldn't stop tearing.😭

Not only it's one of the saddest movie but it's an awesomely directed movie with both story and characters up to the mark. Also character development is quite realistic.

Ye baat humaare Dil ke andar Tak jaake humein hila deti hai.

We often see movies about war focused on military, about high ranked officers, spies, tanks, planes etc. Seldom do we get to see such a unique perspective, Little children stuck in a horrifying mess no fault of their own. We learn the horror, but it’s not overly dramatic, it seems natural. Nothing seems over the top, and we learn about their pains, their sorrows, and their hopes and aspirations. Often times it’s difficult to connect to some themes presented in war based movies, not all of us understand the viewpoints of a soldier, or a bomber, or a hugh ranking officer, but all of us can relate to what a 14 year old boy, and a little girl must be feeling, after all we all have been that age. All this makes it all too painful, it connects better, it hits you harder.

10/10 i can specially relate with the characters in the movie as i too have a little sister, this movie is truly the best movie i have ever seen.

Grave of the Fireflies is a masterpiece . Just saw this movie & I am just speechless . Great word is also small in comparison to this movie. It is a must watch to understand the shortcomings & afternath of war . It also depicts how desperate people can be during war situations & show no sympathy towards helpless.

Anime are the best. This was probably the most saddening and realistic movie ever. This one can make anyone cry. Literally the first dialogue “ I died on 21st September 1945”, was so perfectly saddening and satisfying both at the same time, try revisiting the first scene after finishing the movie , you will cry even harder than normal.

As always you can differentiate diamond from Coal. Amazing review

Finally you reviewed Japanese animation movie yeah it was very good movie Japanese animation movies lot better than Bollywood movies you should watch A silent voice too

How can one make a better movie than this. I have watched a lot of anime but this is something on a different level. Let me tell you all one thing that most of you would have missed. The last scene where he is working after the death of his sister just in a moment made me realise how important is a family. How important love is. How important it is for somewhere to be there beside you whom you work for.

The ending of the movie breaker my heart from bottom

I Don't know what to say after watching the film.

I've watched almost every jews holocaust movies which makes me realise the inportance of food (the pianist movie), innocent children deaths( schindler list), beautiful life movie -hadddd heart wrentching .. so 90%scenes of this movie are kind of minor and predictible for me and didn't affect or shake my heart.. BUT SETSUKO.. she shouldn't have died.. what a beloved character.. so when her brother cremate her.. then only I feel sad and the animation quality of this movie is unbeatable!!!

During the same time period there was a great feminine in Bengal region of India and Bangladesh. Three million people died due to hunger. War can't provide us happiness of peace. It just destroyed civilization and create more chaos. Today we are so lucky that during this terrible lockdown we are still able to feed ourselves. News is coming in every day that thousands of migrant workers are stuck for lockdown. They can't return home. Maybe even their little girl is waiting for her father at her alone home. Today's horrific situation reminds us the situation of World War II. Hope we will soon return to our previous life and happiness and peace will exist all over the humanity.

This is real story

This anime shows the reality of today's society , if you lost your parents or property there is no one to look after you even the relatives are won't going to show any sympathy, other hand if you want any help from them they are going to kick you in return in absence of your parents or property you have to stand by your own feet. That's the lesson I have got from this movie.
