Beautiful story. I did some research awhile back and before Jill died Charles had a hip problem and took to using a cane. After her death, her ashes were put in his cane so he could take her with him everywhere he went. He was buried with that cane and her ashes inside. 🌹

I love him so much. I grew up with Bronson. He is the epitome of man to me. He didn’t say much in his movies, he didn’t need to. Those eyes, man, they said it all. Thank you so much for this, Jordan!

Years ago, around 1981. My brother and I were at Six Flaggs Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita Valley. And we ran into Charles Bronson. He was with two teenage girls. So children or grandchildren. And we ended up talking with them. And spent the rest of the day with them. He was a very nice man. But wasn’t very talkative. But he bought us all lunch. I’ll never forget that.

Two stories I read about him stick with me to this day: * One was from those “best famous encounters you ever had” sites. A guy wrote about being a shoe salesman in the town that he and Jill lived in and Charles use to come into town a lot and was very loved by the locals. He went in one day with his father-in-law and the guy had to measure his foot for shoes. The shoe salesman said Charles took off his sock and his toe nails were all painted. The FIL laughed and asked him what that was all about, his response was very matter of fact, “well, [his daughter ] wanted to do my nails.” Period. 😂 LOVE IT. * Another story was that he had some of Jill’s ashes given to him so that he could keep in a covered opening in his cane so, “she will always be right next to me.” Wonderful person 😊

In the late 80's I was in the US Air Force. I had a roommate from a Colorado. She mention to me that her grandmother had a small restaurant, famous for her chile. One day Charles Bronson came in he was filming in the area. Anyone she said, "you look like Charles Bronson". He said, "that's because I am"!

Charles was something else. What an epic rags to riches store. Love the poem on his grave, it's a classic. I've always wondered who was the author. Jill wrote a book called Life Wish in the early days of her illness. Had no idea they were buried in Vermont, beautiful community. Thanks Jordan. RIP Charles and Jill. 💖🌷🕊️ 🌈

I recently watched the DVD "Once Upon a Time in the West" with Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale and Jason Robards. It's the best "spaghetti western" ever made IMO. Bronson was a true star. His name alone would draw in crowds to theaters. Thank you for a great video---your research adds SO MUCH to your videos. Hi Jah!

What a beautiful tribute to Charles and Jill, truly a couple that adored and loved each other to the very end. So sad to hear that he passed with Alzheimer’s such a horrible disease. Ty Jordan The last time I was on Vermont was with my friend Patsie who was a New England Patriots cheerleader and the Patriots at Stowe skiing, what a blast, I never skied just partied lol It’s really hard when you love someone so much and they are not loyal to you, been there, hard to carry on😿💔😿 A truly fantastic actor what a career they both had RIP Charles and Jill💒

“Once Upon A Time In The West” starring Bronson, Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale is one of the truly great movies ever made by the great Sergio Leone. I’m not necessarily a big fan of too many westerns but that film is a truly epic masterpiece. Sort of underrated but an amazing film. Probably number one or two on my list of best films ever made. Ennio Morricones’ score is the epitome of greatness.

Charles was born approximately 10 minutes from my home. I live just above Johnstown, PA. (Yes where Slap Shot was filmed) In Ehrenfeld Pennsylvania! He was interviewed one time and said he and his friends would jump from the 2 bridges (one in South Fork, PA and one in Summerhill, PA. The South Fork bridge was torn down a new one took its place). onto coal cars heading to or out of Johnstown, PA.

His assistant was Kim Weeks. Who became his 3rd wife. After Jill passed away he returned home due to a death in his family. During their stay they had breakfast one morning at a restaurant in Ebensburg, PA named Kostas. (I work in Ebensburg so I frequent Kostas a lot). Patrons wanted his autograph and he told the owner no problem just let them finish their breakfast first. He was very cordial the the customers and staff. I can’t remember what Charlie had for breakfast. But Kim had oatmeal with raisins. I remember that all these years later because I never heard of anyone eating oatmeal w/ raisins.

Another story I heard was he use to swim at Liberty Park , not far from his home. (I even remember swimming there I was maybe 9/10). He would get on the diving board and show off telling all his friends - the people there that he was going to go to Hollywood and make movies.

The story i read years ago is Jill's ashes were put into his walking cane. When they were at their horse farm here in Vermont, they both loved walking all of the hiking trails on the property. So when she passed, when he was walking those same trails he would have Jill along. That cane is buried with Charles. I try to get to the gravesite every fall when the leaves are turning. The view from his grave of Mt Ascutney, just a short distance away, is picturesque.

This was so interesting. He was one of my all time favorite actors. You are So right about the one liners he could do and how with one look you knew exactly how he felt & what was coming. I had forgotten how he passed away & it's heartbreaking to think about such a strong man dying the way he did. Alzheimer's is such terrible disease. He did love Jill so much & it was so sad for him once she passed away. I've always felt that behind the tough & angry man on screen there was someone with a very tender heart & I'm glad I was right...caring for his friends children...caring for Jill for so long & then oddly caring for his caretaker. Thanks Jordan for sharing his story.
