Samoans are all Christians, and Sunday is considered a Holy Day plus the whole island go to church. Nobody is allowed to work on Sunday except for food services eg: Maccas, but they are to be opened at noon not during the Lord's time aka time and day to drop every worldly things and give God all the glory. P.s there are lots of Indians mostly punjabis living in Apia please do ask them for information or help if you need. I'm Samoan and I'm okay with criticism against our bodies but please ask for information about everything else. Enjoy your stay and God bless❤

Generally in Christian countries Sunday is considered Holy as it is a day of prayer mostly at churches and later spending time with family and friends. Navankur, everything cannot be about money. One need to give atleast a day for God too. So on Sundays' everything is closed.

They will be with their families at home otherwise everything would have been open including your so called clubs (😂). Because they don't go outside everything is closed. you are not wrong. If they had went to someone's home, offer them some courtesy money for food, the family would likely have taken them in without asking for money and fed them.

I'm not here to defend my people or disagreeing with your comment, just FYI, ordinary Samoans refer to fat Samoans as rich people 😄 because they have money to afford those imported processed bloody European foods that makes them fat. Ordinary Samoans grow and harvest their own food. Then again there are some fat ordinary Samoans aswell simply because fat is in our DNA 😆😂 And you're right that place is only for tourists because we not gonna waste our food money just to go there to swim when our island is surrounded by free water and open space that are fat friendly 🤣

Also please come visit Savaii we're nothing like Upolu. Here in Savaii is where all ordinary/poor but happy people are located hiding away from the polluted air of Apia 😂😃😍(no offense to any Upolu peeps on here). we welcome strangers into our homes aswell so you can save on hotel money 😀 and our bus drivers are the best we don't do taxi, they bloody expensive lol
