I think for those sort of, form factors the JBL are the best, this one looks awesome and I'd love to have such a robot just as a decoration even but I don't think it really worth it's price. But I wonder, if you have 2 of those, can they work like one unit in stereo?

  • @TechMishka

Heey, Dima, how are you doing lately? Nah, I should ping you later on. Yeah, they can work in stereo mode. But I find maintaining two bluetooth speakers for creating stereo a little irritating. I just watched today a review of the latest JBL Flip model. Gosh, Incredible! How good small speakers can be... Testing these days the Poco F4 GT - has 4 speakers and sound is ... wow!

@@TechMishka if you can feel the music with your stomach then the speakers are probably not balanced correctly they're either way way too biased towards the EQ Bass or Mid bass and not balanced towards treble and midrange, or you probably have them loud enough to cause hearing damage to your ears, or at least annoying pain in your ears also imagine if you just wanted to listen to music after having ate at a buffet, it would be the worst indigestion in your life, so for all intents and purposes, i for one actually really really enjoy the gravastar mars pro not because of its overpowering "feel the music with your stomach" (because you cant because its just a 2.5 inch speaker) but for a 2.5 inch speaker, i will say it gets a LOT of things right that other speakers (may i dare say) that are more expensive dedicated loudspeakers that weight upwards of 20 pounds do not even begin to get right, of course this is subjective, completely subjective, but at the end of the day you ARE going to get indigestion if you keep listening to your friend instead of your gravastar mars pro. Stay healthy, stay frosty, keep the hearing aids away

I think the sound must excels on the planet Mars. Since I am not going to Mars, I don't need this speaker. A good review Michael. I think the company should include a one way ticket to Mars. That would make this speaker out of this world.

Don't buy this speaker if you want to buy a speaker. Sound quality is unbearable apart from the bass. Others sound like shit. Mars Pro still can be used as a display but I got a Sirius pro earpiece at the same time and it is a instant return.

@@TechMishka tbh, I don't really have a deep understanding on speakers. Mars pro may have a slightly better bass but when it goes to the part with high pitch music, it hurts... The first time I tried with my Mars pro, I played a song and I just immediately changed it back to my phone speaker. The high pitch is so bad, lyrics were like mumbling. I was shock when I heard such sound quality from a $350 purchase. Not to mention the Sirius Pro earpiece. Same problem with Mars pro but more serious. My free earpiece when I bought my Samsung phone has an overall better performance. At least it won't hurt when I played a song.

@@167smallpotato The bigger the size of a speaker the more Air it pushes out, also a speaker needs a break in period time of about 20 to 40 hours, this break in period is just how a brand new car needs to be driven for a little while i think its like 5,000 kilometres before you can go past 3,000 rpms and really open up the throttle on it, it is the same thing with a brand new speaker, when you get a brand new speaker do not force the speaker into very high volumes instead play a WIDE variety of songs, from soft pianos to harsh agressive bass notes, and club music country rock metal pop, to loosen the spider inside the speaker, the voice coil drives the spider vibrating the surround and the cone of the speaker, the problem is when a speaker is brand new these components are stiff, very stiff when they are stiff the cone and surround can not properly move back and forth to recreate the the entire sound, play your speaker at 60 to 65 DB (2.5 feet away) 40 hours later you will begin to get an overall picture as to how the speaker really sounds. The reason why you may prefer your phone over the gravastar mars pro is actually quite simple, you mentioned you like hearing the higher pitch of music midrange/treble well guess what your phone speaker actually THRIVES in that musical range that you describe, but you probably dont know this because you have been acustomed to hearing your phone speakers every single day for the rest of your life since you got your phone, but there is just a whole wide array of frequencies that you are missing on the low end, a singin voice on a phone speaker may sound absolutely marvelous and xylophones and flutes and clarinets absolutely beautiful but when you get down to tuba cellos and bass double bass levels it is hardly audible. If you really like the treble/ high pitched side of music may i suggest sending back the gravastar mars pro and getting yourself a gravastar venus i promise this one youre going to really enjoy because i understand where youre coming from and i also understand how the gravastar venus likes to level its music it is also smaller, which pushes less air, being smaller in nature actually sounds a lot like your phone but unlike your phone it sounds clearer and LOUDER
