How could you possibly dislike this incredible mind expansion? Breathe with me...
i love when i stumble into the live dead section of youtube
Just smoked and now I'm floating away with the Dead✌️
My first show was about six weeks later, 7/31/74, Dillon Stadium, Hatford, CT. The Wall of Sound. Jerry beardless, Phil with mountain man beard. No Mickey. The New Riders played first, with the Dead's old Tie Dyed PA. A buddy and I hitched from Setauket, LI, to Hartford. We got picked up by a dead head ice cream man for the last leg to the show. I distinctly recall dancing to Brown Eyed Women. I was 16 years old. I 'd never heard of grenadine! Thanks for this excellent upload!
This jam is the perfect example of why Billy only + Keith was the best Dead lineup

@thenazarite2444 71 to 76 Mickey's father Lenny managed the band for a while and embezzled a substantial amount of money. After Lenny disappeared Mickey took a sabbatical. The song "He's Gone" is about Lenny Hart.
This was the first song I heard by the Grateful Dead while I was riding Albert Hoffman's bike for the first time. July 10, 1989. I was 16

I'm listening for it, but can't hear WRS. It almost sounds a little bit like Lost Sailor. Am I crazy?

Chris Kirshbaum and Jahmen RC. I agree with you as well. Billy's drumming was not heavy-handed at all, yet he did manage to get his licks in, within the context of the band, of course.

@@thenazarite2444Mickey left in February 71 and came back October 74. He left after his father ripped off the band. The song He’s Gone is all about the father.

only the Dead could seamlessly morph from pure psychedelia to Miles inspired jazz all resolved with a jacked rock and roll money shot. Dead at their quixotic best

People were probably too mesmerized by the music to comment.
Wall of Sound. This copy sounds a whole lot better than the tape is used to have. Even though my copy was old; heavily worn and probably about eighth or ninth generation copy, I played it to death. Its definitely a monster. I can't verify this but it sounds like quite a bit of mind expansion was going on.

I just checked my tape list. Seems I have a 4th gen SBD of the entire show! Wow! Glad I didn't opt to dump my tapes like so many others I know have done! Dick's Picks and Dave's Picks are great no doubt but they don't have Jai-Alai Fronton *yet*. (~);}

And letting it all come down.
Dark Star was a single b/w Born Cross-Eyed. That would put it Anthem of the Sun era. But didn't appear on the album.
Jerry was the psychedelia in person. Proud his origins were spanish.

There is actually a studio version of the song released as a single in '68. It's like... 2 and a half minutes long and, frankly, kinda sucks.
