I got one of these, it’s the line that is no good, upgrade it to a thicker wire and then it does the edges perfect👌

@@RMEonline 1.6mm or 1.7mm. I tried 2mm but that was too thick. I had to slightly enlarge the holes though.

😲 sounds like neighbours from hell

I’ve just bought one of these and inadvertently pushed the spool in and despite following the manual instructions cannot for the life of me getting the spool cover off. How do you take it off?

Good question all this time I've owned the Trimer not once have I had to open or change the spool, sofar, I will try later on and report on how to remove the spool unit

@@RMEonline I am having to return it as I contacted their customer service and after following their instructions to push the two indentations down on either side and then pull the cap to prompt release. This didn't work unfortunately.

Sorry to hear this, just tried it and pushing in the tabs , while turning in the direction the arrow is turning, making sure to hold the tabs and pulling up at the same time realised the spool cover it was a bit hard but this was due to all the dried up grass around the fitting but it worked.

You have to turn while holding in the tabs then pull up gently seems like they didn't tell you to turn the spool in the direction of the arrow
