🤘🏻Graspop 2024🤘🏻 - EPISODE 2 OF 10
As Graspop Metal Meeting 2024 fades into memory, it’s time to reflect on one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life. From the performances to the near perfect organization, this year's festival was nothing short of awesome for us.
Aston, ever the optimist, actually made the most of the rain, while Bartek, true to form, managed to go missing just as we were setting up camp. Joe, our lovable and LARGER than life friend, kept spirits high with his infectious stories and endless supply of actual spirits (oh and he managed to rugby tackle me in the Mud during my LIVE interview on Belgium TV 😂)
Conclusion
Graspop 2024 wasn't just a festival, It was me Ruby and our mates Aston , Bartek , Joe , Matthew , Samantha , and Jade creating memories.
These memories we create both on and off camera will resonate with us for life ya know? And I'm so glad you guys live through this with us too! reminding us why Graspop is a pilgrimage for Metalheads like us from around the world.

25:20. Another reason I love metal heads. When someone falls up instantly the whole group jumped to help. Under the rough exterior everyone is just so goddam friendly and caring about each other.

There was some truly incredible slams that night!! Luckily the floor despite being wood was like bouncy? It was kinda soft! Really weird to explain. But yeah no real injuries and pretty much no dramas, it was a fantastic night! Proper Metal family! 🤘🏻

Thanks Broski! 🤘🏻 Ha I've always made a point of treating everyone new like my closest mates, I speak to everyone on the same level and the same thing goes for actions. We're all Metal family ya know, and nobody should be unapproachable or feel left out. But yeah, That moment was special to me! & I absolutely clattered a few people with the chair trying to get that going 😅 so I'm glad it worked out haha!!! We were at a Download festival a few years ago and Joe brought 2 pairs of shoes & 1 pair of shoelaces Rob! It's been a running theme for a while 😂

It was the 19th of June 2024, around nine thirty PM. Me and my wife have just arrived at our first Graspop, our first ever metal festival, something we were dreaming of for so long! So here we are, at the entrance to the Boneyard, near the shuttle buses... confused, not knowing where to go, dragging our luggage, excited as *uck... And right after the first checkpoint, somewhere in the beginning of the camp, who do we see - Billy Mayhem AND Bartek, the guys from the videos we bingewatched several days before, in the flesh, walking towards us! We were so surprised, so not-expecting something like that to happen, that we just passed by you asking ourselves what just happened :D Sorry for the long post and hope to see you next year (AND SAY HI THIS TIME:D)!

We met at the bar at Download Festival! 😂 My Camera had got smashed in the Red Method Moshpit and I was fixing it there. Ruby was on the other side & I was like "Woah!"... Literally didn't leave each Others side the rest of the festival and ever since really! 🖤🥰 (& We now have a favourite band to tie to that moment)
Joe already new his footwear was messed up before leaving the UK 😂

Is it usually the case at Graspop that you have to park somewhere and then move on with all your stuff to camp somewhere else? Or was that only this year because of the rain?

Yes normally you park up and then it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the festival entrance 😊 we parked on the road this time but still quite close to the (closed) car park

@@RubyMirandaxo Okay, thank you :) All the festivals i am going to on a regular basis (Summerbreeze and Party.San) have combined parking/camping, so you park your car right next to your tent so that was not a very familiar sight for me. Little inconvenient, but probably easier to get away with your car during the festival, if you really need to.

It worked well last year, but this year wasn't done well at all... We had amazing neighbours on one side and utter idiots on the other, it was a really weird mix!

Poor Joe. I'd be devastated if my boots fell apart. That camping set up does put me off. Ive done many a genpop camp at download, but this is way too claustrophobic for my liking. I'd have just not pitched and moved along so can all be in a circle

Once you are set up you don't really notice/ care though. We initially had loads of room but our neighbours (who don't feature in these videos) literally started moving our stuff, that sucked and was the first case of shit manners/ Metal etiquette I'd seen abroad! Everyone is usually so much better at this than back in the UK. Our neighbours on the other side were fucking excellent though! 😂 We spent a ton of time with them & they play a part in a few of the next videos! Joe's footwear becomes VERY questionable in the later episodes and I'm sure he regrets it! 🤣 But damn it was funny!!

To a point I agree mate! But adding that over the top bullshit was the reason this video was monetized. Unfortunately Since the channel content warning, every video has to be appealed, this helps with their automated system... it's shit. There's the uncensored version on Patreon and in future vids the Quacks are just Silence. 👍🏻

Ahhh mate I absolutely hate the censorship! But if it comes to it, that's going to be the difference between making more memories & videos or not, it's worth a shot. I have uploaded the next 2 in this series with less language issues, just music copyright. It's a tough one to balance!
