Fantastique d'avoir réuni des musiciens jouant aussi parfaitement avec chacun leur sonorité dans une "GRAPPELLI REUNION" réalisée chez Grappelli, ce que même lui n’avait jamais pu faire, bravo !. La variété de styles donne de l'allure à ce célébre 'Minor Swing' immortalisé par les 2 inséparables Stéphane Grappelli et Django Reinhardt. C’est sûrement la dernière apparition filmée de Didier Lockwood, au moins la plus importante et c’est chez Stéphane Grappelli, son maitre absolu, juste avant sa disparition soudaine en février 2018. Cette vidéo est inestimable !

The mic used for the global sound is VM1 Brauner, which is certainly the best mic existing . It is equiped with lamps Telefunken EF806S which are built with pure natural components, not as the lamp built for many years by plenty of other companies which have synthetic components. Dirk Brauner had bought long time ago all the stock of these telefunken lamps, which are now extremely precious For additional details: fr.audiofanzine.com/micro-statique-a-tube-a-large-membrane/brauner/VM1/ We have placed a DPA 4011 for Didier and a SCHOEPS MK22 for Eva

Ironically, Didier’s solo is the worst one (in my opinion), since he plays overwhelming number of notes. That’s why I have never been a big fan of him.
