I like that, but that also means the tax payers have to fund his care for the next 60 years. I think the family and friends of the girl should be responsible for his care or lack there of until he is dead (sooner than 60 years). Let the girl's family decide what or if he eats that month, and if he sleeps on a bed or a pile of broken glass.

This is why men keep saying to make smart decisions. Then they get lambasted as "victim shaming". Each bad encounter is a reason to learn from it. Make smart decisions, don't make bad choices. This all sounds bad as if they are victim blaming, they are not. They are stating simple facts so other people don't make the same mistakes. They know this, which is why they either carry defense multipliers or wait until better circumstances arise. I don't k iw a single dude who strolls through bad neighborhoods at night for a jog but I know women who do, then complain about how scary it is.

There's a disassociation component for sure. That's why animal abuse is an early warning sign, it's like training. It escalates until they finally graduate to humans. If a human has an arm and muscles to move the arm they can hold a knife and stab. It takes a long time to build up to that so yeah, if you heard some of the stuff his friends said he would do, he lived in an entire community of people who were just oblivious.

I disagree with the majority of the comments. Tampering with evidence you get the appropriate response associated with the crime. You don't get to "lock her up" because of feelings. That's against all principles of any judiciary system and due process. Or screw the constitution? Unless bad parenting or being a bad person are defined as actual crimes, then no, there shouldn't be a penalty. Other than the tampering which she may face charges for, she's done nothing wrong wrt to the law. If the law is wrong and you think bad parenting should be criminalized, then work to get it changed.

Teenagers have extremely undeveloped brains, and hormonal imbalances. When I look back at being a teenager, I was always angry. This kid though, he went off the deep end long ago. He needs to be in a mental institution. A prison will release him before too long, without fixing his mind. He's too young, and will be released at some point, so they need to wrap him up, in straight jacket, and meet with a psychologist regularly.

People really need to stop ignoring red flags with their children, yes we love them but the best way to protect them and public is to alert someone ASAP, this loss of this beautiful girl was so unnecessary and those who knew or watched karma will catch up with you all..

Let me start by saying I have no biological children, so that is a relationship I have never experienced and probably don't understand the depth of. However I imagine that if I had a teenage boy who not only fantasized and drew woman being mutilated and killed, but also actually mutilated and killed a young girl, I would never help conceal his crime and would do everything to make sure he was put away for as long as humanely possible. I could not rest my head under the same roof as a thrill killing murder regardless of biology.

I have 2 children and 2 Grandchildren and I agree with all you said. I would never allow my children to harm another human being... let alone cover for them. I'd be the first one to drag them Into the police station. PERIOD. Its a great disservice to your child and society... to not receive the consequences to their choices and to allow your kid to go on and possibly harm another and another. Unconditional love is twisted in some people's minds. That's a feeling.. of course you will have love for your child but just as you discipline them in love.. for other things.. to teach right form wrong.. that doesn't change how you feel about them. Loving them and enabling them to committ violence against another human being... are Two different things. Entirely. I saw another mom in these threads say she'd help hide the body. Because she loves her child Unconditionally. 😳😳 When that love becomes deadly to someone else.. Something is wrong!
