I get all my work by cold calling. The more you do it the easier it gets.

@JaysTv just search for companies, check if they’re website on the internet. If not search the phone number and call the manager. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is such an interesting video!! I love that you were able to share this with us, definitely interested in seeing more videos like this! 💕

The emotion that keeps me from doing this comes at the moment one has to reveal the reason for the call. So I imagine the other person, after quite some intro, going like "Ahhh, it's not really that genuine. He/She wants something.". At the end of the day we want to make money (not just "help them") and the other person knows that. And pretending it's not makes me highly uncomfortable.

You're an amazing designer! Sales may not be your strength but the more cold calls you do, the more confidence and sales skills you'll develop. I would say the goal from a cold call is to gain a discovery call/meeting out of it.

This was so great to watch! Thank You for your transparency! This really gives me hope. It shows that even through our shyness or being nervous, putting ourselves out there can pay off! Also feel inspired, because it's easy to feel like a cold call can be annoying to the person we are calling, but in your case she was not annoyed at all and actually needs help! This was inspiring for sure! Thank You for posting the real behind the scenese!

It definitely works! Creating a great email targeted at the particular potential client with some samples of your work, also works. Best thing with cold calling is to match or the exceed the confidence of the potential client. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I just did my "semi" cold call (not really cold call because I didn't speak to manager) but I was so freakiiing nervous. I never realized how scary it was until I tried it but you did a way better job on your first call then my first call.

I actually met in person with this client and then sent her over a proposal and walk them through how to move forward with me (pay the deposit) and I can begin.

What did you do, did call a random shop or company that you create a website or... I don't know
