People are getting stabbed and you are sitting here talking sh!t? Jesus you guys, he punched a girl to start this whole thing off! You’re really going to justify the stabbing because of some taunting? Nothing got physical until he punched that girl, and I’m sorry, but stabbing is not ok under any circumstances unless it is in real self-defense. They were telling him to leave, and he could have left and this would have never happened. It was definitely in a really annoying and mean way that they were treating him, but it was words. Words do not justify STABBING PEOPLE!

Yep, not one of them! That is so true, and you can see right in the testimony and all the follow-up footage that no one called 911, no one came to try to help they're dying friend, and that no one's lives were saved because of it. You can tell in all of the follow-up videos and the body cams that everybody ran away and were nowhere to be found after the fact. You can tell that all five people actually died from their stab wounds and that no one helped them at all to get out of the water or stop the bleeding. You know what they say... You should never run from a guy with a knife! They also say that when knife wounds happen, they're very obvious immediately and there's unlikely to be a few moments before you notice. That was also clear in the testimony from all these Witnesses. I mean everybody knows that! So sad. I'm glad you pointed this out...

@@brassmasterg Almost everything you said was incorrect. Just swinging and missing all over the place. 1) 911 was called almost immediately. 2) People went to help the dying friend, and he did not die. the video lasts for like a minute...do you think you saw everything that happened in a couple minutes? 3) People ran away to the riverbank. They didn't run from the scene to be "nowhere to be found after the fact". The police took statements from everyone. 4) 1 out of the 5 people died from their stab wounds, because he was stabbed directly in the heart--not all 5 of them. Can you read? 5) "never run from a guy with knife" I have never heard this in my life and it makes no sense at all. Running from people with weapons trying to hurt you certainly makes more sense than sticking around. 6)"when knife wounds happen, they're very obvious immediately and there's unlikely to be a few moments before you notice." How about if there's 13 very drunk people in a moving river with a ton of intertubes interspersed among them while they are making very loud noises, yelling at each other and pushing and shoving? It honestly comes across like you missed almost all of the details of the case when reacting to this information. Nothing you said was a conclusion that should be drawn from the information and facts provided. I'm astonished at how wrong you were on pretty much everything. Maybe go over the details again and try to rethink and draw some new ideas. I think you did not get a proper grasp of what happened here, to be honest.

@@scottjoren3466 Watch the video again. He keeps his hand at his pocket periodically to check that his knife is there, then again when he feels confronted and threatened to pull it out in front of the women. None of them saw the knife. He made sure to hold it low and never communicated that he would use it if they touched him. I have a CPL and in training we were instructed to only use if the other person had a weapon of threat to our life (knife included) and would not back down when we pulled it out and threatened them to back off. Miu was using a knife in this case but he did not brandish the knife and communicate to a single person that he was going to use it. No one even noticed that he had a knife until he'd already stabbed a few people and they were trying to back away/push him away from them, at which he lunged at them a few times stabbing them when they obviously knew he had a deadly weapon, couldn't kill him, and were just trying to create some distance. No one expected him to come stabbing when they threw him on the ground for hitting the woman when she was being dumb and provoking him. No one had a weapon good enough to kill him like a knife, only the ratio of people ganging up on him could justify that he saw a threat for his life. But he failed to do proper protocol of warning them, so it's his fault, not the kids. I'm sure if they saw him waving the knife around and yelling not to come near him they would have retreated. He clearly was ready to use the knife and looked for the first opportunity of being attacked first (except for the fact that he did it first when he hit the girl and knocked her sunglasses off) in order to use it. Those kids should have not tried to drown him in the water and beat his face after they pushed him, because at that point it became a fight rather than taunting and pushing him away from the group and trying to get him to leave. He probably felt like he was going to drown and had little chance of fighting back against so many people. But it does not absolve Miu of his crime, especially in the way he did it with intent to harm rather than defend, even lashing out well after people had realized the situation and tried backing away. He planned for this resort to happen and he knew what he was doing when he plunged the knife deep into the abdomen of the orange shorts guy, twisting it upward to gut him. He was angry in those stabs and doing it out of revenge, lighter slices, not pointing the tip upward, and showing them the blade openly first would have been used to avoid killing anyone. Miu clearly came prepared for an altercation. They were all on alcohol so they made the wrong decisions and it got violent. Because Miu was terrible at communicating and acted creepy the whole time, starting with his act of rummaging in their tubes and touching their legs without their consent, which seems to be motivated by a belief on his side that these young adults/teenagers had taken his friend's phone and snatched up his goggled when he dropped them. He doesen't even get the clueless immigrant card because he only lived in Romania for his first 12 years and spent the rest of his life in the US, even managing to get a PhD in engineering. He's fully capable of english, public speaking, and rational thought. And even though he was drunk he managed to think of discarding the knife in the woods and trying to pretend he was innocent, even twisting the events to the police before they revealed there was footage. Those kids were not well behaved and shouldn't have escalated it. Most of all, that girl shouldn't have walked up to them and gotten involved since she had nothing to do with them. She was very drunk, pushy and obviously aggravating and cornering him. Because he hit her and hitting women/girls is a no-no, those boys immediately jumped in. If it weren't for the woman intigating further beyond the jeering and all of them agreeing to walk away/talk it out, this wouldn't have happend, bcause all in all it truly was a misunderstanding. We only heard the side of the kids and nothing from th guy, so evryone assumd he was a pedo/rapist. H should have tried to clarify clearly that he meant no harm and was looking for a phone. Unfortunately that chance was ruind when he came up to them smiling silntly and rummaging all up in their business. You can't excuse violating someone's boundaries like that to looking for a phone, and automatically assuming these random kids took it. Both the kids and Miu have impulse and emotional regaulatory issues, as well as communication issues. The kids were rightly wierded out about him being a creep when he touched their legs looking for the phone, but they shouldn't have escalated it into mob mntality jeering, accusations, etc. and trying to egg him on to violence without hearing him out about what all that was. And While he tried to leave and they told him to leave, for some reason both sides wanted to keep trailing each other, which is extremely dumb. Miu had multipl openings he could have walked away in but I don't think he could travel fast and was trying to assess the confusing situation while waiting for somone from his party he flagged down to come over. Both sides were guilty of different charges, and that's why the guy changed up his story to avoid responsibility and the kids did as well because the situation was not so one sided and they had to make their side look better to avoid punishment. I'm sure if Miu had waited longer to resort to the knife, his friends from his party not far away would have come running over to break up the fight of these kids ganging up on and almost drowning an old man. It takes a while to kill someone with your bare fists/legs (even with water involved), but it only takes 1 stab to the heart which he did to one of the boys to end his life. He was trying to resort to murder way too early without communicating anything that it's just not justified and looks like he was blood hungry, even if the reality may be different. If there's a lesson to learn from this, cut back on the alcohol when going tubing, mind your own business, and if people get hostile, communicate clearly and walk away. Don't let your ego get in the way.

It happened so fast, but for people being confused : 1:56 (0,50x speed)Guy with orange pants (AJ) getting stabbed and sliced open in his stomach (survived) 2:02 (0,50x speed) You can see at the left, only the stabber’s arm/elbow (Nicolae Miu) charging and stabbing the slim girl (Ryhley) After that you see Ryhley’s holding her bleeding side (survived) 2:03 - 2:04 You see the guy (Tony) wearing jeans pants, trying to break up the fight, slightly pushes Nicolae to back off, but Nicolae turns around and stabs Tony twice. (Survived) 2:05 (0,50 x speed)Immediately after stabbing Tony, you see two hands launching at Nicolae’s neck. That was Isaac Schuman (deceased) Slow speed, you see Nicolae’s hand (holding the knife) stretching for a moment out. That’s the exact moment he stabbed Isaac’s heart. Isaac’s hands immediately back off after the stab and Nicolae almost trips backwards.. There is also Dante who got stabbed, but wasn’t shown in the video Hope that helps! My opinion : Both sides are at fault. Nicolae’s and the boys. The boys shouldn’t have provoked a total stranger and calling him names. You never know the other person’s intentions..But also, Nicolae should had just flipped them off , just back off and go back to his group. It really wasn’t necessary to pull out a knife and start stabbing everyone near him. Lots of people don’t know, because you can’t see it clearly in the video, but Nicolae started FIRST the physical part, by hitting Maddison (blonde woman) on her face. That’s why the boys charged after him. Also, i noticed Isaac (deceased) was the one that was the most behaved in the group. Everyone else was mocking and provoking the accused. The guy recording was really an asshole. RIP Isaac Schuman PS: Wanted to add, that people saying that no one from the boys run to help their wounded friend, is because AJ (orange pants) wasn’t a friend of them. He was a friend of the girl’s group who got stabbed. At 2:18 (slow speed) and some frames after, you see at the right, a male figure running at the distance with his back towards the camera, wearing dark blue pants. Don’t get mistaken, it’s not Nicolae. It’s Alexander Vang (East Asian guy) who runs towards wounded Isaac laying in the water. Two friends ran to his aid. Alexander and Owen.

...You can't attack someone because they allegedly "punched" your friend in the face... unless the attack & threat is continuous in nature, then you're allowed to STOP the threat only. Otherwise, it would be *_Vigilante Justice_* which is unlawful in all 50 States. Furthermore, the kids also claim that the Old Guy said he's looking for a *_Little Girl,_* (implying that he's a pedophile) which was a LIE because we have the AUDIO: Which makes their testimony about the alleged punch to the face completely SUSPECT: I mean, if they're known LIARS, then their testimony just isn't very credible, in my opinion.

@@sofusensei7397 ...1st of all, the actual testimony in Open Court is that he "pulled her hair & punched her": All within the very short timespan that the camera is just happened to be magically turned away AND while the Guy filming all this decides to CALL IT OUT (captured on audio), but NOT FILM IT ??? That is highly suspect. 2nd, even _IF_ he did "pull her hair & punch" her, then _THAT_ alone does not constitute a continuous, on-going THREAT that needs to be STOPPED, as when the camera pans back into view after the (most likely false) remark, you can see that he's not even facing her, much less "attacking" or "punching" her !!! And since he does not present himself & his actions to be a continuous threat, then the only thing that the Boys can do is call the Police & ask him to wait under Citizen's Arrest until the Police arrive. But they _CANNOT_ attack him: That's completely ridiculous. They were just using the false claim of a non-existent "punch" as an excuse to further harass him & escalate the harassment from verbal to physical. This is evidence by the fact that they only escalated to mere pushing (since they knew damn well the punch claim was false). What I'm saying is that had it been a REAL punch, then it wouldn't have been mere "pushing & shoving". Hence, not a genuine & normal reaction & response to a Man punching a Girl. How do we _KNOW_ this ??? ...Because we literally have _TONS_ of video _PROVING_ what really happens when a Man punches a Girl !!! And you'd have to extremely ignorant or LYING to deny this.

When I watched this 54-year-old man being ganged up on by several people, bullied, laughed at, mocked, falsely accused of being a creep, humiliated, pushed into the water, punched in the head, and recorded, my heart physically hurt. This is a nightmare to make anyone feel this way. It is emotional and physical abuse to the fullest extent. Is anyone really surprised that this would provoke an extremely violent defensive rage response from someone? I'm not surprised. I have been bullied and recorded by a group of teenagers before, although not nearly as severely as what happened to him. It made me realize that horrible people like this just get to go on with their lives without facing consequences and continue to harm others. Am I upset that one of them was removed from this planet? No, not really. I have been through a lot and I know how he feels in this moment, so It's really hard for me to blame this guy. The fewer bullies/abusers I have to share this planet with, the better. This is what we call pushing someone to their breaking point. Gen z believes that they can get away with degrading/abusing strangers because of the internet. “Is this real? Is this real?” Yes, this is real. Wake up. Are you happy your little video went viral? Was it worth it? Also can we acknowledge how the United States is one of the only countries that will tolerate this kind of abuse and disrespect on older people and even attempt to defend them for this? In some countries your peers will get mad at you for simply complaining about your parents. They don’t tolerate this.

None of this is "joking around." Did he initiate the situation? I don't know, *_did he?_* Why was he walking towards them in the first place before the video starts? You can actually see the very moment AJ gets cut and see how Nic was just trying to get him & the others off or away from him! I’ve watched footage from the trial but this was the first time you can see right how & when it happened. It’s tragic but these stupid kids started this entire thing!
