Grant King spoke about a ‘secret society’ working to overturn nuclear ban before being axed

Outgoing Climate Change Authority Chair Grant King had spoken about a “secret society” that was working on overturning the ban on nuclear before he was axed by the Energy Minister, according to Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“It turns out, behind the scenes, Grant King had been advocating for nuclear energy,” she said.
Ms Markson revealed footage of Mr King saying he was becoming frustrated by the energy debate and that nuclear should be part of the mix as there is no good and bad energy.
“To Grant King, it doesn’t matter which energy methods are used as long as the emissions reduction targets are reached, but Labor has this illogical ideological opposition to nuclear,” she said.
“Chris Bowen doesn’t want energy agnostic ... he is driven purely by ideology.”

The hypocrisy is not even hidden anymore. It is blatantly obvious by now that these individuals strongly gaslighting and opposing nuclear with nothing more than fear mongering and misinformation are seriously compromised financially. How these people are in a position to be making decisions on behalf of the nation is mind boggling.

Profiteering during your time as a politician should be a federal crime especially if it involves creating the conditions for the profiteering.

The greenest energy type is nuclear! Least waste, pollution etc. The concern is a fear of it being a new and different, for Australia. Wtf is this. Australia wants to go nuclear. If your in Aus, don't want to go nuclear, it's because; A) your a politician and this would be a direct high budget fixed commitment production for Australia that cannot be half arsed and thus if it fails/becomes a box of bandaid fixes spewing head aches because politicians go leaching off the budget (like they did with the NBN and others) there "WILL BE" a witch hunt for them! B) You don't know what/how nuclear power works! Probably think large wind turbines (also general large scale wind power) are a good thing and not a massive scam for high cost and no returns and definitely don't understand how they are a terrible energy source just like solar farms (large scale solar) and how the only reason these things stay afloat is by our taxes funnelled by the government paying for them. (These energy sources are subsidised, that is the only thing that makes them affordable and profitable (tax pay=only profitability: screaming loud and true for wind, government just throwing away money), that's your tax money!) C) You have absolutely zero understanding of Australia's state of infrastructure for energy (electricity) is and how energy independence which is achievable for Australia via nuclear and nuclear only would be a crazy economic boon and route for legitimate long term employment availability for it's citizens. Also make pathways for the only type of EV that should ever be considered, hydrogen, for a greener Australia.
