This granny stitch dress pattern was inspired by the crochet dress Taylor Swift wore recently. This pattern is written to make an oversized dress for a size small. There are notes included within the tutorial and pattern to let you know how to increase or decrease the size.

Im all for us making the dress ourselves (I’m currently looking at different color combos and trying to figure out how much yarn I need) but The clear issue here is that this dress is questionable.Taylor bought the dress from essentially a fast fashion brand that underpays it’s workers. Taylor Swift is a millionaire and she could more than afford to pay an independent crochet designer for their work but chose a brand that prides itself on meeting the minimum requirements for their employees. Mind you, the minimum requirements for a safe work environment is metaphorically on the floor. It was the cheap price tag that brings Taylor’s and the brands ethics into question.
THANK YOU for explaining the neckline increase and decrease - I am currently completing the black and white version and was going to make a complete hash of it.

I usually wear a size small! You can use acrylic, but it might be too warm to wear in the warmer months. I think you’ll need about 1100-1300 grams for m/l

Thank you! And yes, but if you want to we are it in the summer, you want to use a cotton blend, so it’s not too hot. 100% cotton would be too heavy
