J J sometimes ultrasounds don’t show both babies.. i think it’s like some error, so women often later find out they’re having twins while giving birth haha . take me for example, my mother didn’t know she was having twins bc her ultrasound only showed one baby.. but unfortunately she said my twin died after she accidentally pushed him/her out in the toilet 😢 .

Conversation in 10 years: “Son, when you were born we only told grandma and grandpa that we gave birth to your sister. We waited a whole month to tell grandma and grandpa that you even existed!”

The boy was in the NICU longer than the girl. The grandparents were not allowed at the hospital, so when the girl was released the grandparents saw her twice. They did not mention the boy to them until he was released from the hospital, which happened to be just before the grandmothers birthday. Her birthday surprise was finding out the baby girl has a twin brother. Without Covid limiting hospital visitors, the grandparents would have been there for the birth and visiting both babies in the NICU the whole time.

I love the way this dad thinks, because if I'm ever lucky enough to be blessed with a set of twins I would keep it a secret too until their birth. This was very adorable!

I think it's bad manners to hide a baby from grandparents, they need to bond straight away not look at the whole birth with confusion and distrust
