Grandpa Never Sold Anything! Now They All Have To Go!

I was told by some friends about a car collection that was hidden in the mountains of Tennessee that I had to go check out. The grandpa who was a child of the Great Depression never got rid of anything that he thought he might could use again. So he ended up with a whole farm full of old cars, trucks, vans, and other old antiques. Now the grandson is having to sell them all to clean the place up and we ended up buying a few.

Just a slick trick some tow truck drivers taught me when unloading cars from their flatbed trucks ( aka rollback) use a little dish soap under the tires if they dont roll it'll slide right off your trailer and won't harm anything. I saw you struggling with a few cars on the show and forgot to pass on the tid bit of info. Hope this helps you in the future... Keep up the great content guys.

I could be totally wrong but that Cushman looks like it was a police or a meter maid-mobile. The blue & white paint and extra lights on the side and what not looks police/parking authority. In fact if you Google police Cushman you’ll see what I mean. I laughed as soon as I saw it and said to my self just wait till they move it, those things are ridiculously heavy for what they are. They called them Haulsters and Trucksters. I have one with a little dump bed on it I bought to redo someday but have yet to get around to it. Parts pretty readily available. It wouldn’t be a terrible candidate to convert to electric if it’s locked up.

Regarding the holes in the shock towers, Ford didn't put grease fittings on their upper control arms back then, and a lot of guys would cut holes there to access and remove the end plugs and install grease fittings. Other than removing the control arms, that was the quickest way to do it. You see a lot of old Mustangs that have been "modded" in this way. New aftermarket control arms have a 90 degree fitting installed so you can grease them when needed.

andreamills5852 2years ago I was looking for a 1962 to 1968 Chevy station wagon. I just asked for two things. It needed to run and drive. I didn't care what color it was or how much rust I had to fix. And in the state that I live in there were none for sale anywhere. So I now have a restored 1967 Mercury Cougar instead, but someday I'll have my wagon.

Laughed my butt off right at the beginning of the video when Marge turned around and caught Squeeze unaware, the look on her face was priceless. As others have said shame that some of the vans weren’t for sale a couple of them looked salvageable. And was thinking about the truck Marge wants, it’s a dually if you pulled off the outside tires that should allow you to sneak that onto the trailer with a little bit of room.

Hey sleeper dude, I love the Chevy 2 wagon. I have one like it. That’s the base model “100” series. First year for 5 lugs and a V-8 was available for the first time in 64. Will be watching for the build. Thanks for taking us along.

My first car back in 72, was a navy blue 63 Chevy 2 station wagon 4 door. Long story short, got it for $50 add long as I replaced the engine and transmission in my back yard. Drove it to HS for two years. Small 6 with 3 on the tree.

Cushmans were common campus vehicles before electric golf carts became cheaper. I worked at a government base in the SF bay are 25 years ago and the motor pool had a fleet of 4 wheel cushmans, and they were so fun! The shifter for it was actually to the side of the seat, can’t remember if it was right or left but it was easy to get used to. But we would race them a bit because the base wasn’t very crowded, soooooo fun!

I thank you guys for taking us along. I'm sure the straight truck will be much easier to load than you think. If the front wheels will roll, there is very little weight on the rear end. That was cool to see all the old cars and trucks. Real bummer about the vw vehicles not for sale. I know wawa was sad. Sure is a good thing you bought the tractor awhile back. It helped a lot with these vehicles. Looking forward to seeing the videos on the new cars. See you later.

The "u-joint" thing thats bad on the kushman is called a WEBO or flex disc joint just like most European cars have but in a large scale. You might be able to find one but its going to take some searching. I know that some farm equipment take the same one. Might have to buy a few to figure out the right one.

Love your channel. That snake was a ringneck. Completely harmless and it was actually full grown. They only get to be about 10 in long 12 in tops. You're actually lucky to see one. Because they're so small and they're usually hidden under leaves and brush most people never get to see one in the wild. They eat little tiny bugs. Years ago I saved one from a swimming pool. Friendly little snakes. They don't have the bite power in the jaw to break human skin or for you to even feel it if they bit you. If you ever see one again feel free to pick it up and check it out before you put it back down. Keep up the great videos. I absolutely love this one so many cars

Josh the shock towers on the Grabber are most likely torched out so they could grease the front suspension. That was common back then, Ford for some reason thought it would never need to be greased. That Belvedere was pretty sweet. You guys scored big on that find that Cushman is really neat.
