that's what I though also, best strategy here is to play like you also have 30s.. but you'll blunder more.. the more time you think the more time the opponent has to think, so its an interesting trade off, do I blunder all my pieces and go for the flag or do I go slow and try to make the most drawnish position and hope he starts blundering in the end game?

CHECKMATE! I love watching Bortnyk, underrated top player

Ah, the Yapper Gambit
Two things: 1) It's amazing that GM Bortnyk has the Mozart laugh from Amadeus 3:36 4:17 6:20 7:19 7:47 9:41, and 2) I will forever remember that GM Bortnyk sacrificed his elo under similar time pressure so that the Botez hair could live on. While a bald Roman(ian) empire would have been epic, we shall never forget your sacrifice Olexandr, ....Never!

Slowwww downnnn Andreaaaa 😂😂 he has 5 seconds left not you 😂
He didn't think ....he knew. 😂😅
I always wonder why people use the same have to hit the clock that moves the piece. It seems like it would be faster to move the piece with one hand and hit the clock with the other.
1:27 i really googled this...
This isn't as unlikely as it seems when the skill differential is large enough. I played a series of games in the Navy against my ship's new Religious Programmer. He turned out to be a terrible player: He'd play four or five blunders in a row. So I started giving him time odds, and then adding material odds. In our last game, with the White pieces, I spotted him a queen, both rooks, and both knights, plus 15 minutes to one on the clock. The game went like this: 1. d4, a5 2. Bg5, f6 3. Bh4, Ra6 4. e4, g5?! 5. Be2, gxh4?? 6. Bh5#. My elapsed time was four seconds.
Poor guy gives time odds and gab odds too. LoL. He needs earplugs.
Premoving with wooden pieces is really tricky!
those to look so cute together I hope they will be the next power couple
That was wild.
Yeah sack your rook right into a pin on the queen, botez gambit legit

do players have to hit the clock with the same hand that they move pieces? Is it a rule?

Queen for free = so called "Botez gambit" : )
Shes adorable whenever she gets demolished over the board.
If its online 30secs is too much, 20secs could be a match
"next time on..... Live"?
She gave a rook free
Trading is wrong Andrea,he will use more time if he had more pieces to think about moving, less pieces quicker play.
