This is the strongest and most powerful version of ‘grandmas hands’ that’s been sung to date. Glad this was caught on video for everybody to hear

It was my blessing and privilege to know the late soul and blues singer Denise LaSalle very well. She and Bill Withers were very good friends, and she assured me that his image was no act. "He was a deeply spiritual man," she said. "He was raised up in church, talked about how his grandma made him go to church and things like that, and he talked about religion-type stuff, spiritual stuff, all the time. His grandmother had to be something in his life . . . everything was his grandma. That’s what he talked about. And then, of course, he wrote that beautiful song, 'Grandma’s Hands.' And his songs always had a message."

The butter bean story is so funny because I remember my great aunt teaching me to work everyday after school. She also taught me how to read. This cover is exceptional, just like the women that are singing it. Much respect and love.

Wow wow wow ladies! Well done! Heard this song for the first time yesterday by Ron Kennoly and I’ve been looking up other versions since, because I’m going to do it as a tribute to my grandmother and as part of our praise and worship, so that others can also pay the same homage. You ladies did a beautiful, heartfelt soulful rendition that honors and praises not only your grandmothers, but the God above who gave them to us all! THANK YOU & GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU ALL!!!

Was looking for Bill Withers and this came up as well. You do him very proud. Thank you! And then on my way to look for some more music I noticed something before I left and I think you'll be very happy. 3.16K subscribers is the count on your video...." John 3:16 ... For God so loved the world...* this was my mother's favourite Bible quote and the song that was played for her at my request at her funeral. Coincidence? I don't believe in coincidence. Again, thank you so much for a beautiful rendition of a beautiful song from a beautiful Soul!
