Why are we wording it as grandma a woman sexually assaulted a character performer I don’t care how many grandkids she had. Don’t ever touch the characters inappropriately.

I think it’s because one wouldn’t suspect a grandma of doing such a thing (and alliteration) but it’s disgusting regardless who did it

Yeah, the Goofy thing is absolutely not ok. If it was "Grandpa Grabs Cinderella", there'd be no laughter in the presentation of this story. Assault is assault.

True! Police never take sexual assault against men seriously. They probably told him to shrug it off whereas if the roles were reversed the offender would have been arrested and trespassed.

It doesn’t matter who was involved, sexual assault is sexual assault. Being old or a woman doesn’t suddenly make it ok.

Not odd at all. Our society allows women to perform light sexual harassment, while men will get into trouble. I don't make the rules...I just live by them.

If a man the same age as her did that to a minnie mouse actor, he would’ve been thrown in jail and registered as a sex offender for life

I worked as a costume character at EPCOT in the late 90s - groping was like a daily thing, on nearly every shift someone would be touched or spoken to very inappropriately. They rarely would schedule women in the Minnie costume for meet and greets because she would be groped or lewd comments whispered on too many shifts for them to feel comfy subjecting women to it. I was groped while playing Pluto at a character breakfast by some dad - he ran his hand quickly from my lower leg up my thigh to nearly the crotch, and whispered that I felt "well built". What surprises me (and makes me happy, frankly) is that people are reporting it to authorities.

“Grandma gropped Goofy” sounds like a parody of Grandma got run over by a reindeer, I never thought I would imagine.

If that had been a man and the character was a princess the person would have been arrested that day!! No excuse! Keep your nasty hands to yourself!!

Even though it’s an animated character custom, there are people in that costume that did not sign up for that! Can we respect each other and behave like adults. It’s a family vacation.😳 If this was a man doing this to a princess or any other person that’s dressed up in a costume. It’s assault! How disrespectful can people get?
