Grandia 2 - The so-called unwinnable fight against Melfice
Reaching levels 35-37 (especially Ryudo) is not bad for this battle.
I started to record after I beat Melfice's sword and injured a little bit himself (-4K or -5K hp), it took me more than half an hour. x)
The number two secret is to debuff him with bone harp and boost Ryudo's strength.

I remember using an action replay on the PS2 version and cheating my levels to 99. I was forced to win this fight since Melfice couldn't hurt me at all. I remember that it took forever, I was afraid I'd softlocked the game until the question marked hp finally turned into numbers.
First time I fended him off I was so ready for a new cutscene or something. So lame =(

Pointless it may be, but goddamn satisfying to beat him in a supposedly unbeatable match.
What? How? In the newer version he just kept taking 0 damage from everything. His plot armor was too strong.

Your attack is less than his defense. Boost your attack and lower his defense as best you can and it's manageable without blowing all the good stuff on a useless win.
