To me this is the rarest RPG ever made. Wonderful story, wonderful character development, wonderful fights, and most important of all, a wonderful male protagonist.

I agree. Grand 2 has awesome battle VGMs. The battle, the boss battle and this in particular is so friggen epic!!

I like that this battle takes place on top of a pile of spaghetti.

Wow, this is a pretty version for the PC! I love it. Meanwhile, this is one of the most epic final battle theme i've heard and its also a great jogging sound.

I agree the music in Grandia 2 was always top notch.

Loved how Grandia stayed consistent with the characters, dialogue, story. Merely perfection! No adding random ass characters/villains last minute.

The PS2 version is glitchy as hell holy crap. His beam didn't even come out and the lag and sound cutoffs kill this amazing fight. Im glad I played this on the dreamcast as a kid.

The Dreamcast version never fucked up on me. I played it on the PS2 when my Dreamcast broke and I was so upset with the PS2 version

Hi there. At the time of recording the computer used had an Intel Q9550 2.8 GHZ quad core processor and Nvidia Geforce GTS 250.

the destruction light animation is glitched on the ps2 version looks like. on a dreamcast you can see a huge beam of light shoot out of him.

the last part in the end was well played did the game told u to paly fair xD ??!!

The Day of Judgement looks like the boss on the Vulcan in Grandia 1

Or it was maybe no voices during battle? I can't remember. Maybe both?

You didn't use Sky Dragon Slash and White Apocalypse at all, why ?

What settings do you use for PCSX2 and what revision of it do you use? In combat, I always have annoying gray squares all over the battlefield. :(

I think they must choose this boss for the final boss because this boss is much harder than final boss of this game :)

Crazyspadger360 Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I didn't see it until now. This is the PS2 version of the game. It was played on PC using the emulator called PCSX2, which can enhance the graphics of PS2 games.

One question: why do you use an emulator to play the game? You can buy the PC version of it for some money and have no glitches or so.

Good question. I've tried the PC version, but I didn't like the fact that during battle there are no feet sounds. Haha, it's silly, I know, but it bothered me.

Hmm, I experience the squares on the ground, but I'm fairly certain that even occurs when you play this game on the PS2 hardware. This game is a port of the original Dreamcast version, so that may be why. In my Grandia 2 videos, I used PCSX2 0.9.9.r5128 (Mar 14 2012). Here are screenshots of my settings used for this game. Zera Valmar can hit kinda hard but... yeah overall way easier than this bastard. Still this fight isn't too hard if you heal often. (I had Alhealer on both Elena and Ryudo (who is actually a pretty nice healer) and Resurrect on Roan and Tio and then just... hammered away at the main body. I was lv.51 iirc)

I just focused the Core (pc remastered hard mode) and ignored the heads. On hard mode, the heads had a ton of hp and trying to take them out costed a lot of my offensive ability. If the core dies, the boss fight is over even if the heads are alive. I just out dps'd their alhealer. I perhaps could have adjusted my strat to take out the right head first and then the core. I had to beat the Core twice this way because the pc version had a crash bug. That pissed me off so much.

Yeah no kidding lmao 😆. But considering how human zera looks in full picture I can see how he mutated to this. Also this is the same area where he was when you confronted him on valmars moon that's how ryudo and the gang was able to sense and track him down and know was there despite how vast valmar was and why millennia was there too.💯

It looks like this version glitched out a lot for his strongest attacks somehow missing

If you read the description, here's a spoiler: Zera just takes a bunch of free hits for no reason. If you kill him, then the battles over. He literally does nothing the whole fight.

The Zera Valmar fight is easier on purpose for thematic reasons. This fight is the dark night of the soul of the final part of the game. Where his beliefs have yet to fail him. Where as his defeat and the return of Millenia takes the wind out of Zera's sails and the final boss is a shadow of his former power. To show how weak he truly is rather than the all-powerful god he claims to be.
