Great video! I was at this resort about 10 years ago. Your attention to safety details was fantastic. One night, near the bar in the common courtyard, a woman fell off the walking area right into the courtyard. She fell about a foot down, and it was scary! If anyone is reading this, please be careful!

We booked deluxe junior 2 years ago, going again with kids this time and booked platinum, and the first time we were told the little icecream shop free for platinum guests (family suites are platinum) so im just wondering if this is true? Also if they still have premium alcohol like don julio and stuff like that?

Hi Sara, I am not sure about what you say. We stayed in Platinum and that was different to family club suites. I have looked on their website and could see no mention of family suites being platinum - I would suggest going onto one of the Facebook pages for the resort - there are a couple I am on and they are very active. On there you can ask someone who is on the resort to check for you, many people do this and get good, up to date info. Hope this helps and have a great time.

The family club suites were not labeled as platinum but had platinum wristbands.

@@RichKids-ml9gt well i had assumed that family club was platinum because a family that we met on the plane was staying in familty club and had platinum wristbands but according to the hotel ,you cant access family club without having booked family club or buying day passes, even if your in platinum, as for junior suite stay, you dont have access to all the restaurants and drinks, premium drinks and the seafood restaurant are included in platinum though, or at least thats what the website says, we will find out in march, as thats when we are going with our kids. Bummed that we cant access family club without paying extra tho, our agent didnt let us know there was parts of the resort we couldnt access even with platinum.

@@themaltedmuse A canadian chirping in here. We have been to this complex 25 plus times. Stayed in every section but prefer the Yucatan side. Excellent video.

The Platinum lounges do NOT have 24 snacks or Bar. They close at about 11 pm. Nonsense about the rooms lacking power to charge devices.

interesting that you have disagreed on 2 separate posts. I am from the UK and found the charging time of my devices was longer here than at home so I stand by what I said. You may be correct about the bar closing in Platinum - and things change. I can only go by my experiences and can confirm that snacks etc were available 24hrs in Platinum by using the room service options that you get there.

@@themaltedmuse I only disagreed on two separate posts cuz I was doing so while watching. No intent to offend. By the way, I think you had a very comprehensive video. And it will no doubt useful to many. Certainly the video implies the Platinum Lounge is open 24 hours. Yes Room service is available 24 hours but that has Nothing to do with the Platinum Lounge. I would also be left with the impression the Snack restaurants are only available To Platinum guests. I know now that’s not what you meant. Those animals are not raccoons, tho related. They are Coaties. Pronounce coe-AW-tee-ace. Thanks for the chat. Keep on with your videos.

This is one more video reporting that the Snack Riviera and Snack Sunset are only for Platinum guests. Not true. In both facilities there are tables (distinguished by having tablecloths) which are for Platinum only. But both are open to all guests at the resort. Unless something has changed?!?

I never mentioned snack sunset or riviera?? I mentioned where you go for breakfast from platinum but never said it was exclusive, I mentioned the separate platinum beach area and I mentioned the gala platinum dinner. Please elaborate what you mean as I am confused.
