The Texas Health and Human Services Commission celebrates the grand opening of a new replacement hospital at San Antonio State Hospital. The three-story, 454,000 square-foot facility includes 300 non-maximum-security beds. Primary design features include single-person rooms, the use of natural light throughout patient rooms and common areas, and outdoor spaces to promote healing and recovery.
