I can appreciarte people make mistakes (I make lots), but I find the hardest thing about keeping my cool is when people make a mistake (or otherwise), ruin your race, and just drive off like nothing happened.

The problem is other drivers divebombing, running you off track where you then get a time penalty, damage and dirty tires, you then get swallowed by the pack, your DR and SR go down and there is nothing you can do. I do my utmost to race clean, give space but that is irrelevant if you are the only person in the whole race doing it. The last week has annihilated my DR to half of B rated and my S rating is now low B too all from being smashed to pieces by other drivers every race…

@@simracerdeano I start top 5 most races, this is trial mountain (penalty central), either Porsche or the R8 GT3. Had the same even in the C race too, ram fest and I start top 3 in that race usually. There is no consequence for a ram pass. Ruins the gamez

Ofcourse. Well we all go through this or went through this. So just keep at it mate. Top 5 is risky for DR grinding.. Rather do TT until you start Top 2-3 MAX. As per the guide in video. Top 5 is gonna bring some heated racing and possible some incidents yes. If you just want to race then yeah Top 5 is good midpack for you

@@simracerdeano hell I do not have the time to get better on a track to start higher than around 8. By the time I could the week is over. Which means I stay stuck in D. Which means it’s a vicious cycle because D is heinous. Which means I lost the drive to race. It’s super frustrating. Also, I can’t lose DR by quitting, because I’m already bottomed out.

This video was informative and I really enjoyed it alot. Hopefully I'll be able to increase my DR by alot whenever i hop on today.

A tip that helped me go from C to B is to practice qualifying a lot before you race. I wasn't improving, until I realized that if I practiced the tract a ton in qualifying, when I got to the race, I was 1 second faster than the guy in P2. This is an extreme example, as I was in a lower ranking, but I improved just in one week, the same race over and over and over again, all you really need to do is just find a fast lap in qualifying and then try and repeat it again and again in the race. If you aren't improving, you could watch the pros, and try and repeat everything they are doing. I found about 2 seconds in just a few days on certain races.

Thats a great tip, and it would be my #1 as well. Another benefit other than the consistency and lap practice, is that a better QT will start you further up the grid, meaning you can avoid a lot of chaos mid-pack. I have found this to be huge for consistent results across the week.

This was good dude. Nais video, lately it's hard with these dirty drivers. Specially when you have advertisement on your car for YT haha.

My inconsistency is my biggest issue. I've chocked while in the lead and qualifying in Nations and Manufacturers cup

I think the DR in GT7 is more accurate than other games I have tried. That said, the safety rating needs work. Penalties also need a rework.

Set a fast lap in qualifying. Easier said then done. Best way is to learn from others, Either watch the guy who won the race in the replay or watch youtube vids of people setting fast laps on that track. People tell you where to brake but never where to start excelerating. Which you just have to teach yourself. Try to experiment with lines as well maybe you will find a faster one. Keep calm in the race, relaxed racers are faster and make better decisions. People who ram will end up in worse lobbies eventually. Try to have fun, if you arent turn off the console or go play a different game. At the end of the day its all about having fun.

@simracerdeano I've made it to DR-C, but got relegated quickly as I couldn't keep pace. Then 2 races in D and back upto C. Need to learn more to survive lol. Hopefully will get there.

A lot of inaccurate information here on DR. DR is not calculated differently between race B and C. In fact, because of its shorted nature, per hour, you have more opportunity in B to gain DR, and conversely lose it, than race C. DR is calculated based on your finishing position and the difference in DR between you and the cars ahead of you and the cars behind you. You can still gain DR coming in 9th and have 0 DR gain in 10th if the bulk of the lobby is higher rated than you. So if you are DR B and racing in a split lobby with DR A then you can still do okay if you come in top 10.

Hey champ Ofcourse you are correct in above. But going way to technical wont help the average bloke buddy. The key is in the simplicity and having them aim for solid and good results. Hence "Rule of thumb" and general brackets were mentioned. Video is not "Driver Rating Explained In Detail", but for all that see this comment may now jnderstand fhe complexity of DR the way we do

Any tips to get from B to A dr? I am a lower b rated driver and not sure what to do?

I'm not aggressive enough I try to avoid confrontation even if it means giving up a couple positions. I have 3 accounts all BS have never made A...

But being a plus gotta get faster more agreissive but there one thing I don’t like them about when u try be aggressive and fast as them even slightly contact set them off and be rude and snuck up

honestly, idk how some people even get into B class, there was this idiot and I made a clean overtake on him down the inside, and he wasn't happy, so he pit me, called me an idiot, and then served the penalty, and rammed me off the track the next corner. How tf does he have an S rating? idk, but he was acting like a 3yr, then next race, guess what? I was punted off and I ended up finishing last, again. I qualified 5th, and they totally ruined my whole race.

Man I'm having the same issues. I had more clean races in C lobbies. I made may way to B/S and teetered to bottom A. I lost all my DR/SR in one night due to PD's server issue 2 month's ago which punted me back to D. (ouch) Worked my way back to B\S and had nothing but punters, rammers. I even had P2 punt me in the 1st corner on Monza last week which ate a shit ton of my DR. It's frustrating when you have pace but bad lobbies outnumber the good one's which makes it hard to increase and even maintain good DR

Feeling the same as you guys. I am a BS and 50% of the time someone ruins my race for me. It is incredibly hard to take...

I am a top DR B driver and I am getting lobbies mixed with DR B and DR A. I have the impression that DR A cars are faster, I am sure DR A drivers are faster, but some situations such as straight lines and parts of the track where there is no way the other car could be that faster than me. I am so pissed with that. Did you or anyone ever noticed something similar to what I am describing?

So how do I find the right lobby to start?

Im mid A dr and constantly S sr but I watch replays, ghost and telemetry. I just don’t have same cornering speed with the top guys, and if I brake at the exact same spot I go too deep. Question without presumption, how using a basic G29 affect the overall performance compare with “pro” driving wheels? It must be like how Perez feel compare with Verstappen. Just can’t get it…

If you brake the same amount at the same spot, but are still losing time, then it likely has something to do with how you are coming off the brake.

​@@TheVVumpus that's very true. Something I learnt this week is that you just can't slam on the bakes. Gently press and then release gently during the corner. I think the pros call this trail braking.

Trailbraking 😉 that’s the difference between normal braking and fast braking. Keep practicing it.

Embarrassingly, I didn't even know you can gain more DR from race C than B! I thought they were the same with B just for those with little less time & patience.....

I've been doing Scapes for months, haven't seen any DR increase. What gives?

I definitely like and agree with the concept of getting to know the racers in your lobbies. And for sure grinding out a good qualifying time. I hate starting mid pack! Plus, taking personal responsibility for when I suck at a race and doing something about it 😂!

You need practice. I’ve been playing for 3 days online and I’m 1 second behind A+ drivers in qualifying. I was starting pole position until I got to A rating. Then my fastest lap was only good enough for 10th or lower starting position.

Some drivers don't want to be bump drafted, they would rather race cleanly🎉, please don't scratch ir dent my ride mate😂

Best answer: DO NOT race on rormal races! İm currently B-S. U either get f*ed by dirty drivers or u will become one with Sr on D. ALWAYS Race on either “Dr no updates” or “ no Sr updates “ Noth both as well! its currently worse than forza lobby

I was A+ then seen the red mist with this dirty fool ramming me over and over again so I took my revenge in the next two races and got put down to B. Hahaha was worth it. Can’t help but my get revenge, it’s my mission to get you back. Don’t care about ranking FAFO.
