Mangzhong is a heartfelt song reminiscing about one's lover. This piece is a fusion style: Chinese Jazz. This dance style has been gaining popularity in China recently, especially on Douyin, which is Chinese Tik Tok. The Mang Zhong dance started a massive trend in 2019 and 2020, where people of all vocations and levels of dance experience took a stab at the choreography on social media. The song is a fusion of traditional Chinese and electronic music styles as well as a fusion of traditional and modern dance styles.

Similar to our previous Fall 2021 joint showcase, “Wu” showcased a wide range of Chinese dance & martial arts performances, celebrating cultural diversity & sharing our hard work throughout the semester.
