Great videos (parts one and two), Rue. One of my great-grandfathers was born in Graiguenamanagh in 1823. I am working on his part in my family history so I searched for videos to get mental images and knowledge about his town and countryside. We've been to Ireland twice and found cousins in my paternal grandfather's line in County Mayo but we didn't get to Graiguenamangh. The beauty is incredible. He likely walked over the bridge, fished and swam in the river, and explored the Brandon mountain before he came to America in 1849. He probably had a hard life as famines and food shortages were common in his childhood and young adulthood. The town, county, and country were devastated by the Great Famine in the mid and late 1840s so his flight to the United States was imperative. No doubt, he missed his family and lovely town but he found happiness In Pennsylvania where he found a wife, got a lovely farm, and raised a large, successful family. Best vlog I have seen on Graiguenamanagh. Daisy chain definitely a great little coffee shop and florists along with Great Food from Graig garden. Looking forward to seeing part 2 👏😂😄
