Steve Marsh talks to Graham Walker of Olympus Lofts, Partington near Manchester, Lancashire. Graham Walker is owner of Olympus Lofts in Manchester and has been involved with racing pigeons for more than 38 years. Graham's love of racing pigeons began with a couple of gift bird mixed with a few strays in a converted shed in his parents garden. How times have changed. He has won at all levels and consistently achieves outstanding success with his racing pigeons. During 2000's he flew in partnership with Simon Kennedy and Steve Carroll competing in the mighty South Lancashire Combine competing against household names of the north west of England. In one season they picked up 45x1sts against strong competition. After a short break from the sport Graham re-started racing competitively again in 2009. From his first 12 races he managed 3x1st Clubs from Mangotsfield and Cheltenham, 2x1st Feds from Mangotsfield, 1st South Lancashire Combine from Mangotsfield, 2x2nds, 2x3rds, 2x4ths, 2x5ths, 2x6ths in South Lancashire Combines plus many other top placings. Graham is a true professional when it comes to racing pigeons and we believe he is one name to continue to watch out for in the future.
