An unfairly overlooked figure in British rock music of the 1960s, Graham's band had many influential talents in his group yet he never got the big break himself. One of the very first UK musicians to play the Hammond B3 organ, his live performances were legendary. Unfortunately, he lost his way through mental illness and heroin addiction. He committed suicide aged only 37, in May 1974. Remember a gifted, tragic man this way.

When _Beware of Mr. Baker_ came out the whole _Gonks Go Beat_ was available on YT. This song had a really goofy but funny lead-in, but when it was over "Professor Beats" had a great assessment of his pupils and IIRC he didn't know what he was going to do with Ginger, who was basically hopeless. The 'F-that-C' look on Ginger's face was perfect. It also looked like Ginger had a groupie. That last line got me thinking about a story in _Beware of Mr. Baker,_ the one that ended with "I'm in heaven!" What a life.

How come I can only give this one thumbs up?
Graham has been totally overlooked..his legacy goes on through other bands unnoticed...shame

John Lord of Deep Purple credits Graham Bond as his influence.
It was cool seeing Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker in it.
I really like this song. I'd heard the name of the group on a history of rock n roll program because two members of Cream were in it. I've never heard a song by them on the radio or ever seen one of their records. Even in a used and collectible records store. It sounds like they were virtually unknown in the US. The movie clip looks like something from Gilligan's Island.

Good meeting of players.
Gonks go Beat, a film that introduced some and re-established others. My song still appears on screen from time to time.
Супер энергия..
Musically it sounds very advanced for 1965.
This is so great

I was reading an interview with Ian Anderson about the early band he was in, (The John Evans Band) and he talked about the GBO. I had heard of them before but I had no idea Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker were in the band! Crazy! Graham had a great voice and chops on the organ for sure
Better Then Ever
wow
Love it.
Giner Baker is my spirit animal.
Thank you God, I mean Beware of Mr. Baker that lead me to this hit!
RIP Ginger
These boys are rocking on this one. 👊
Walkin' on the sun
Shame this song isn’t available on The Graham Bond Organization albums or as a 7”, probably the best bit in the whole movie 🎥 lol.

Watch Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. I don't know whether to laugh or cheer.
Well this should give any kid nightmares!
Aside from the Carnaby St.,/Fab Four scene taking most of the oxygen ,there existed a pulsing London netherworld of R&B , 'Northern Soul, and Delta Blues.Graham's band was the critic's, and fan fave.
A year later they had formed Cream....

John R Yeah the dancers are pretty gay haha. I’m from Long Island they’d get booed off stage here, I meant that the band were cool. Ginger is my guy, very similar style to Art Blakey

Anyone know what key Jack’s harmonica is in?
For those keen on Jack and Ginger, you can now get Eric Clapton and the Powerhouse doing Crossroads, with Steve Winwood singing, early 66, before Cream and almost Blind Faiith.
Wade in the water, Graham Bond Organisation - amazing! The devil's music - check it out!!!
Dig it...
