I've tried to graft some citrus-trees and I'm about to try some avocados. Hopefully, I can get it to graft properly.

A friend has highly recommended Buddy tape, and as you pointed out from AM Leonard, this is about $30/roll........ But yikes, the cheapest shipping for a single roll is $15.99...... Thank you for your review........

If you are not grafting that much, it may not be worth it.. but if you are grafting a lot, it is worth it. Something else, we use something like this and dont wrap the scion, only graft location. @@GonzaGardens Thank you so much for your quick and helpful reply! I didn't mean to sound grouchy. But I was shocked at the shipping handling charges, and reacted where I had just been on KZread. I will be grafting lots of scions onto an unproductive Fuji apple tree and want to maximize how many of my grafts take place. Since I will be having to do the grafting up in the air on a standing 10 year old tree, I won't be working on my bench! Thank you again,,,,,,,!

:) You dont have to graft so high on the tree. I have a 10(ish) year old bougainvillea tree that I graft onto low branches.. its is now a colorful cocktail tree. There are videos showing how to topwork, where you can cut the original tree hard to regrow branches in a lower area. I dont have that kind of video yet. @@elginoctave
