Jamie Scott from Graffiti6 dropped by Mevio's Studio B for a live performance in November 2011. Here are two of the songs he played, "Over You" and "Free."
Jamie Scott first came to prominence in a band called "Jamie Scott and the Town." He has performed and toured with artists such as Alicia Keys, Ryan Adams and Kelly Clarkson. His soulful voice and delivery have been compared to R&B greats like Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye, while his songwriting is in the tradition of the best 1970s Folk-Pop.
In 2008 he began a collaboration with producer and songwriter TommyD that would eventually become Graffiti6. They've produced several EPs, singles and one full length album together.

Scott began playing piano when he was 7 years old in his native Great Britain. His talent and dedication to the keyboard is evident in this performance of "Over You" which was one of the standout songs on Graffiti6's debut album "Colours."
The performance of "Free" in this live set at Mevio Underground demonstrates his equal proficiency on guitar. Whichever instrument he uses to accompany himself, that crystal clear voice is unmistakable.
It ought to be said that these songs are also marvelous, which should be no surprise since he began his music career writing for others, as he continues to do today as well.
