This is why they work on a 600ml, but not on a 400ml: The stam of the male spray cap has a slit which allows the paint to go through the cap, once you press the cap on the valve of the can. The booster cap does not have a slit. So the stam of the cap can't let any paint go through. 600ml cans are mostly high pressure cans and have a little cut out cross on the valve. This is to make sure that more paint can go through at once, but is also the reason the booster caps only work on 600ml cans. Take a 400ml and a 600ml can and look closely at the valve, you'll see the difference. 400ml is flat, the 600ml has a little cross.

so in theory you could make a slit in the booster cap and it would work? i mean, the stam of the cap is probably the same size(thickness) as a regular cap.because i doubt they would make the design of the can any other dimensions(just too expensive to have another can design just for the high pressure ones). never tried any of these high boost cans, and i doubt i will, cause chrome and gold isnt my cup of tea, although everyone, including me appreciate a nice chrome piece :D

thats what chuck said! but you could also make it work on a 400ml... booster caps or ultrawide cans are a big waste of paint, but they are also fun :D like the 3d outlines

The thing I do with those booster caps is cut a slit/notch in the stem of that cap which allows more paint flow to push through, then it works on any can. It’s super messy though, but dope for quick get ups.
