This should be a wakeup call to anyone thinking that law enforcement isn't keeping records or doesn't "care" about petty things. PPB and the PPA are looking for wins, and letting small things go until they have information about something larger, but maybe doesn't qualify as probable cause, allows them to say, execute a search warrant for "graffiti" while knowing there's something bigger to find. Heed ye well.

Only a story because of guns, no one cares about graffiti. Graffiti never going to end. May as well be smart and honor the community members who are a part of this culture instead of trying to blacklist it and saying it doesn't exist. I'm always looking at the graffiti on the trains since I was a kid and still love looking at it either driving around or on foot, it's one of the few things in life that is still free and makes life not suck. I actually saw a train a few weeks ago honoring Portland's Elliott Smith and someone's gonna say "don't do that!". Give me a break. It goes all around the US, people see it and appreciate it, even if you don't. I've got mentally ill people on my street screaming all night and people's cars getting broken into, graffiti is the least of my worries and yes, we do have a lot of it in our neighborhood. The role of the media is to project the lie and make money. Talking heads. Never trust them.

A lot of people care about graffiti. More than you will ever know. There is nothing honorable about it. Many people hate it. They despise seeing it saturate this once beautiful city. It’s not acceptable everywhere, nor is it tolerated “all around the US”. Graffiti is a quality of life crime. It says that anarchy and disorder are fine. Well they are not fine. Graffiti is basically defecation on the landscape. It is the defilement of personal and public property. It is vandalism. Perhaps you never learned that it is wrong to put your grubby, filthy paws on what doesn’t belong to you. I hope these two heathens are fined $1000 for every single location where their tag appeared. If they can’t pay the fine, lock them up for 10 years. Let this punishment send a message to the rest of the heathens who take delight in crapping on Portland. They are on notice.

Personally, I think citizens of both Portland & Beaverton should go to both of these taggers homes and redecorate their homes with our own artwork free of charge! Shit, we should even add artwork to their vehicles as well. Personally, I bet both of these taggers would livid if they both their houses were littered with unreadable & shitty artwork like they do throughout the city of Portland.

Back years ago the city of Portland put into law when you buy a can of spray paint no, matter where one buys it, the buy has to show ID and if I remember correctly was because of all the graffiti around town and yet here we are years later and the graffiti continues.
