Opportunity Academy Ginellis Crespo expected to graduate with her classmates on Friday, June 14 during a ceremony in the Holyoke War Memorial. She did graduate as planned-AND she was also singled out by Superintendent Anthony Soto in recognition of her hard work throughout the year when he awarded her a Superintendent’s Excellence Award.
OA instructional coach Gerardo Orbe nominated Ginellis for this award. “At the start of the school year, Ginellis set a goal to graduate this year. Since then, she has been working very hard at it and has made great progress. She produced some great work, including an interview and profile piece of a relative of hers.”
