    Sweat is a perfect example of a pass rusher that is great despite not racking up sacks. The guy gives it 100% every play and regularly runs down RB's and WR's down field with his super freak athleticism. He also sets the edge well in the run game and racks up TFL's. I'd much rather sign Sweat long term than Chase Young at this point.

    Does Sweat get a ton of statistical pressures or have an above average pass rush win rate (PRWR)?

    @@thek3289 He was 13th in pressures. Not sure what his pass rush win rate was. He was even better as a run defender. He's just a really good, consistent, all around edge. PFF had him as the 8th best Edge in the league last season for what that's worth.

    @@thek3289 I was looking into their cap situation and it's actually pretty good. Mostly because they don't have a franchise QB, great OT or lockdown CB to pay. They could easily afford to sign Sweat and Young if they want. They should probably just pick 1 of them though to spread out the money a little.

    belichick is washed, the game has passed him by. he was a great coach but he needs to retire. dude is like 70+ years old now and he hasn’t adapted that well to the modern game. ofc losing a hall of fame QB in 2020 will make your team much worse, but even during the 2010’s he made some head scratching draft picks and other decisions. you ever wonder why his coaching tree is infamously terrible? it’s one of the reasons why i don’t believe he’s the best coach ever. he usually wants yes men, not guys that actually know what they’re doing. there is literally only one guy from his entire coaching tree in new england that is even worth anything: his name is brian flores. belichick’s coaching style is old-fashioned and it’s not really working anymore. it happens to a lot of great coaches and GMs. robert kraft would never fire him because belichick got him six rings (i don’t blame him), but the patriots will never win another one with belichick at the helm. he’s done.

    I will always have despise this draft class. On one hand Pitt managed to get a top WR in Diontae Johnson in the 3rd round, however Pitt also traded up (which they never do) to get Bevin Bush who did nothing for the defense, drafted Justin Layne round 3 who is only a backup CB, and then draft a bunch of backup players after that. The Pitt 2019 draft had the hidden Gem of diontae Johnson but still hurts for trading up for Devin Bush.

    I think Nkeal Harry could've thrived had he switched positions from WR to TE. The guy is very athletic and has size. In his last year he helped run block on the edge the same way a TE would. He wasn't fast enough to outrun Cornerbacks to get separation, but he can cut through LBs pretty well. It was a matter of New England misutilizing him. Look how Darren Waller, who was a WR turned TE, and when healthy Waller is top 3 top 4 TE in the league.

    Jacobs is my favorite rb in the league because I'm a bit biased however, I think he can ideally be a 12-1300 yard rb in his career however I don't think he will be unless we rebuild the oline. Our oline is really really good in the run game but how much of that was bolstered by Jacobs absurd numbers. At his best he can carry our offense and at his worst he's still gonna give you like 40-50 yards per game. I loved the pick then and still do now. Just been a quiet pro bowl level rb his whole career and I want him to break Raider records by the end of his career.

    WAY too harsh on Andre Dillard imo, sure he had injury problems and struggled in his rookie year, but he would have absolutely started on most other teams after that. Unfortunately for him he was permabenched behind a top 10 LT in Jordan Mailata, and when he got to play over the past 2 years, he looked ok, he LITERALLY has the same exact pff grade as Tytus Howard. There is a reason why Dillard got a top 18 LT contract from the Titans. I think after all is said and done he will have had an not amazing, not terrible carreer in the NFL, C- at worst.

  • @zackhurwitz9441

    @zackhurwitz9441

    Жыл бұрын

    He isn't just breaking out, he's been solid from day 1 at worst, and was outright elite this year. He's had an average PFF grade of 79.8 over his first 4 years in the league, 57 starts, he made an instant impact as a run defender (primary job as a NT), and this year was exceptional in both run and pass defense. He was the best NT in football during 2022, unquestionably. Also, his best career season is better than Simmons' best career season, and he's been more effective in the same amount of time. Simmons has a 78 PFF grade over 54 games. So if Simmons is an A+, I don't think dex should be anything less. Stats for both are per pro football reference.
