Grading My Road with a David Brown 990
Thought I’d throw this little video up to show you the struggles of living on a gravel road in the middle of no where. A lot of people like to watch the David Browns work, so this one’s for you!

Good to see you brother. Good bless you
Tip for cold starting a David Brown with the C.A.V injector pump, on the bottom of the injector pump you have a "excess fuel screw" screw it in before you goto crank the engine over also set the throttle at half revs as soon as it fires unscrew the "excess fuel screw" otherwise it will run erratically. This is how the book tells you to cold start a 990. You can also use a snort of ether again the book does mention it.
We never had a loader tractor growing up so we actually pushed snow with a blade like yours behind our 9N, which meant every spring grading the driveway back out with the same blade. Brings back happy memories
That sure is a good looking original 990 you've got there. I've been looking for a few for myself but they just don't pop up for sale in my area very often. Thanks for sharing this with us

Great job on the video. Love yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa mean it. Proud of you 👍
Nice job grading 👍
Lovely video, do u not use the fuel excess tap on bottom of diesel injection pump, screw in for cold start,1/2 throttle, once started screw out and throttle to idle for 2 to 3 mins.
Do you know of anyone who might have a Case or David Brown loader for sale in the area?
He can't even start a tractor properly
