Grade calculations: calculate drop, given grade% and run (metric&ft-in)

Terms explained and calculation shown. To do this, you must be able to convert decimal inches and decimal feet to ft-in-fractions and back FAST and be able to do ratio and proportion calculations.
Error: at 6:05, 6:30 and 7:10 I say "mm" 3 times. My bad, correct is "cm". Numbers are good.

    Please notice MISTAKE: in this situation it is 2.14 CM NOT 2.14 MM

    Yeah, that threw me off for a min! I know it's been a while since I used metric, but I do know there is a cm in there before mm...hhehehe. Good catch Gennady :)-

    Regards to this mode is it problem for one to get the slope through practical work on the site with the piping work .

    What if u needed a % for a pipe laser inside the pipe.would it be the drop divided by the run times 100.ive asked 2 drainlayers.one said the drop divided by run x100.the other said run divided by drop x100

    Sorry sir , check your conversion, it's supposed to be 21.4mm or 2.14cm, millimetres is x1000, centimetres is x100. Please I stand corrected

    Way over complicated this simple process. Convert percentage by moving decimal two place to the left and multiply by run.
