I’m sure you will do well. Just practice a bunch of times before and realize you were chosen to speak because your teacher believes in you and knows you are capable of doing a good job.

That was a very well written speech! You also delivered it perfectly! I’m currently trying to write my valedictorian speech. This was very inspirational! Edit: Just realized you spoke French in this speech as well. As a fellow French immersion student who’s been speaking French with my family since I was born here in Toronto, Ontario, it put a smile on my face.

Thank you so much! The trick for public speaking is simply practice, like everything else. Starting in Grade 7, I took every opportunity I could to do public speaking and this is the result of that practice. If you're interested in public speaking, I suggest just putting yourself out there. You'll get recognition regardless of how good the speech is because most people don't have the confidence to do it :)
