She sings it like I do when I’m running on the street at 3AM: so scratchy at the end, probably crying, and out of breath. But that’s a good thing for this song.

massive gracie fan, and as much as i love her iconic, delicate & whispery sound, i keep coming back to this because i love how she utilizes her full range + love ethel cain. definitely need an alt-rock record in the future

gracie really encapsulates the emotion that ethel is trying to convey on this song. its a cover, but she understands the feelings that went into the creation of this song and puts forth those feelings in her voice. i am so extremely impressed with this cover. my favourite recreation of ethel cain's masterpiece of a song

And I guess not just reflecting on how hard and exhausting it was but also on how far you've come from there and then when everything felt so hopeless.
