Adele is great (she wrote this song with Dan Wilson and William Wells according to the credits on the video), but Grace takes it to a whole 'nother level. That to me is the great mystery of Grace: Where does that soul-wrenching sound come from? And it's not just that she sings it "real" - she's like some physic surgeon, her voice a scalpel that opens me up with just one note and makes emotions pour out of me. It's so much more than just touching my heart or soul, or just evoking feelings. The magic and depth of this phenomenon are unfathomable. I don't get it, and I don't care if I ever do. More Grace, please. She could change the world. It's that astonishing.

I love this girl. I have been following her since her 1st appearance on AGT. I was also one of the voters that got her the win. You go get em Grace. Show everybody that you are the real deal.

OK, now to Grace VanderWaal. Thanks for this reaction. I went to the Las Vegas show where this video was taken, and I can tell you, Grace really killed this song. NOBODY can convey emotion like this girl. PLEASE do yourself a favor and buy Grace's album. It's a short album and should be inexpensive, even in Europe. It is epic, and like nothing you've ever heard before. I'm one of Grace's biggest fans, but I didn't realize that she was THIS good. In particular, in the rendition of her song, "Beautiful Thing," Grace does the most beautifully nuanced singing I have ever heard in my life. If you want to hear it now, go to her VEVO channel. Personally, I was overcome by it.

Re-visiting this phenomenal song and reaction. Petra, the moment at 2:16 may be your single best reaction moment of all time. And Grace certainly deserves it. That ripping growl she gives us a few times is indescribable artistry; other young teen artists have surprised us with vocal fireworks, but what sets Grace apart is it's not just fireworks, it's totally organic to the depth of passion she's delivering.

Also when you didn't know what to say: The reaction in your face and eyes says all. I love your reactions.

The amount of stuff this 12 year old has accomplished in 6 months is absolutely insane. When you get the chance, you should check out her duet with Cyndi Lauper on "True Colors". She almost upstages her a few times during the song. I imagine this is what it was like seeing a young Michael Jackson get started.

I am going to compare a 12 year old to Billie Holiday. Man what an amazing voice when she hits the high notes. So blues in nature you could make such a comparison to both artist.

One of her songs, "Beautiful Thing", which has been released on her album is one of the greatest love songs ever written. It is about the love of all kinds, family, friends, spouses and lovers. The sentiments she expresses can only be born into her soul.

Talent in kids is underestimated.. Tiger Woods at 12 could play golf better than I ever could, at 12 I was ripping on my bass guitar like a pro already :) kids learn easily, with a dose of natural talent, passion.. everything is possible :o) we have a girl in Canada here that won 4 Olympic medal in Rio and she's 16

I'm so sorry you're feeling down. I don't really understand depression. Used to think it was caused crappy things going on in your life and an inability to cope with them. But, apparently, it can be caused by chemical imbalances, etc., etc. Anyway, I hope you can find relief, Petra, because you surely don't seem like a person who should be depressed or deserves it. You are a wonderful, intelligent and loving person. So, like in the Bobby Ferrin song, "Smile . . . . Be happy."

I have said the following: Taylor Switz has voice and lyrics of dondoca. It is tiring, limited creativity and conventional singing. Nothing comes close to Grace Vanderwaal's talent. Adele is an excellent singer, but many people sing like her; But as Grace Vanderwaal not. This little girl is sui generis. Just like Emy Winihouse. The voice and poetry of this 12-year-old girl far outweighs what Adele has already done. And you noticed that! No disdain or disgust from Taylor or Adele, I only recognize the superiority of Grace Vanderwaal ...
