After getting rejected for jobs because she was "very slow" and "hard to understand", Roszana, who has cerebral palsy, had given up on ever finding work - until food delivery apps like GrabFood came along.

Although such contract work gives the chance for people with disabilities to earn a living, it comes with its own set of problems such as the lack of health benefits and job security - just to name a couple.
In Singapore and around the world, jobs for people with disabilities are hard to come by. What do you think can be done about it?

    While there are only 20 delivery workers in electric wheel chairs, perhaps Grab could continue improving the platform to help them by giving them orders that are nearer to pick and deliver. A short term solution would be to tag them as GrabWalker.

    what you are implicitly implying is that grab food are doing good deed for employing people like as. however that was what we did to women in the 1950s, companies that hired women were being praise for being progressive and now this ideology continues to affect the disabled community and the lgbtq+ community. we deserve equal opportunities, it is not a privilege but rather a right.

    being a disabled person in a wheelchair, I know how hard it is to get work, I am happy to see that she has been able to get a job and help make money for her family. I hope thing will get better for her and her friend so they don;t have to go very far so that their automated wheelchairs will last. GREAT JOB girls!!!!

    They both have my heart, their determination and strong will is so inspiring really. And I’m glad there’re companies like Grab who’re providing employment to special cases.     Even with her disabilities, she still wants to work and it gives her so much pride. When some people can't even bother to look for a job or a apply for a job, they don't realize that some people will do anything to have a job. Disabled or not.     I'm a parent of a disable child, I truly feel how Roszana parents would feel as we wont be around forever to care and protect..this video has given me courage that as long as we try and do the best we can, theres always a future for the disable..I pray for you Roszana as well as all the very special individuals out there that allah will always bless you and your family ..Thank you Grab for giving a chance and being truly understanding.

    Just saw the video. Tears roll from my eyes. I'm very proud for this 2 young lady in wheelchair for working so hard and some young normal ppl still wants to complain about their job.     Thank you Grab for the opportunities for them. I remembered once when I was in Malaysia, I got a deaf driver. His car has a sign which indicates so, and he also has some kind of flip book which explains how to communicate with him. Way to go, Grab!

    People in my country who are able bodied and healthy sit on their ass getting benefits and don't even try to get jobs and this beautiful soul has pursued an education and expanded her job skills and does what she can to live independently and happily despite all the challenges ahead of her daily.
